La Casa del Tío Güero

The three dishes my friend and I ordered were all so tasty—the chicken chile relleno, rolled chicken tacos, and the classic salad. To begin with, the salad was very fresh and the dressing was really nice, tasty yet subtle. The chicken in both the tacos and chile relleno was still moist and tasted great. The relleno had the perfect level of sweetness added to it. The salsa they provide with everything is so, so tasty! It’s a fairly spicy burnt salsa that is just perfect with tacos and relleno (even with some of the salad veggies, honestly). Hard to fault this restaurant, especially with their prices—for three very high-quality and delicious dishes we only paid 365 MXN (~$20 USD).

I will be dreaming of this food for months to come!! I particularly recommend the cecina baguette and cecina tlayuda. The chile sauces and pickled onions for the table are excellent accompaniments.

Great moles and the best prices on the Centro. Attentive service, nice terraza, and their decor was fun and genuine. Highly recommended for a very unpretentious, quality meal.

Excellent food! I had the chile relleno filled with chicken picadillo. This is the first time I’ve had it made with a Pasilla chile instead of a poblano. The picadillo included raisins, which balanced the spice of the chile beautifully. Highly recommended!

The food, the service and the restaurant are amazing. The flavour is topical Mexican, the portion is perfect to be satisfied and the ingredient combination is delicious. The food is not spicy, as the hot salsa is served on the side. I totally recommend it, because the staff is warm and friendly, and I'm totally happy to have found this place.

Great service, atmosphere, and food! The chile en nogada de cerdo really is awesome. We also tried the chile relleno de chapulines, which I enjoyed, but not as much as the chile en nogada. They have a good looking set menu that was between 80-100 pesos for a four course lunch, which I'll be coming back to try.

Great service and Super friendly waiter! They serve breakfast all day which is very important in life! The breakfast dishes are incredibly rich! Come hungry

This is a traditional restaurant with excellent food. The almond mole was amazing. Don't forget about the roof top terrace !

Great service and great breakfast at a really great price

We happened upon this place on our last night and we are so glad we did! The food was incredible, staff were lovely and the place had a great atmosphere.

What a VIEW! The waiter didn’t bother me at all and waited for me to enjoy my cerveza prior to ordering. If you want someone to bother you all the time, sure, not your place. But if you want a leisurely dinner with an incredible view, highly recommend. Affordable and delicious 😋

Amazing enchiladas de mole. If you love mole negro this is great. Great hot chocolate and great service. One of our favorite meals in Oaxaca.

My favorite resturant in Oaxaca. The ambience, the staff, the chocolata, the juice, and the most delicious verde huervos rancheros I've ever had in my life. Get the eggs "medio", it is perfect.
