Muss Café

Muss Cafe is a lovely cafe in the Centro area that is architecturally stunning. The interior is tastefully designed with a spacious terrace filled with plants. I grabbed breakfast here twice during my visit, and it was fresh/tasty although ambiance is truly the highlight of the visit. Great for a few hours of remote work.

Lovely coffee shop with tasty coffee beans. The only complain we had aZ the temperature of milk in our latte. It was not frothed to the appropriate temperature and was not hot enough. Otherwise everything was great, service, atmosphere and interior design.

One of the most popular and biggest cafes in Oaxaca. It's a great place to relax and you'll easily be able to find seats. There's a lovely rooftop terasse area with lots of plants. I had the hot chocolate and it was very good.

This building encompasses three different spaces, a sitting area right at the entrance where they serve great coffee and pastries, a second extension of that first space that is long patio showered by the sun and gently covered by the landscaping meticulously placed ubiquitously, and they jewel of the crown, a terrace located in the top floor that offers enchanted views to the Oaxacan mountains, accompanied by a well curated playlist and proper and timely service. Highly recommended for drinks, something light to eat or for having a coffee at sunset.

Muss Cafe is a must for Specialty Coffee lovers! The Café is tastefully designed, and the service is friendly and welcoming. I was able to sample a local Geisha varietal that participated in Cup of Excellence, and also shared conversation with a passionate barista who knew the coffee well. Would highly recommend!

Loved this place. Amazing with a laptop or for breakfast or any time of day. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic food quality.

We really enjoyed Muss! We went for lunch one day and breakfast another day. The patio is very pleasant to sit in and the coffee was very very good! The jasmine rice bowl was a little small for portion, but everything else was perfect!

My fav kind of coffee, not acidic at all. So delicious that’s it’s edible not just drinkable. And the gluten free cookie was the best I’ve ever had. The vibe of this place is super chill.

This is an incredibly beautiful cafe with multiple levels and really nice breakfast bowls and coffee. The top level is absolutely stunning! There is pretty good Wi-Fi throughout the building as well. The vegan breakfast bowl was quite good—all the ingredients tasted really fresh. The kombucha and coffee were nice as well. It’s actually pretty affordable too, nothing insane in terms of prices. I definitely recommend this as a nice respite, a place to work, or a place to have a healthy meal.

I have been coming here since 2018, and it only gets better and better. All the staff is extremely sweet and accommodating. It’s the best cup of coffee I have had in Oaxaca. Long live Muss Cafe!

Wonderful coffee with seating on the ground floor and on the roof. A nice selection of breakfast foods, but not pastry if that's what you're looking for. A lovely staff too. Just delightful!

This place is great, we always have a good time here. My son loves the fresh baked pastries and the food is really good and fresh. Wish we had more time in Oaxaca. Good coffee along with good service.

Lovely cafe with some of the best food I have had in Mexico. Great service, well designed and the tapas and drinks were amazing. A bit more expensive than the average place in Oaxaca's centre but totally worth it. Great vegetarian options too!

I've come here for breakfast, lunch, and co-working. The food is really good, though the portions are moderate; if you have a big appetite you'll want to order more than one thing. The wifi was good, and the courtyard is lovely.

A tip: if you’re looking for breakfast/ lunch there’s a full seated restaurant upstairs with a gorgeous rooftop terrazza and the same great coffee.

Muss Café is definitely a must in Oaxaca City. After a very long trip we were in need of a very good coffee, and browsing on @googlemaps and @instagram this looked like one of the best cafés downtown since it had great reviews and pictures, therefore, we decided to stop by. For starters, it is located on a very beautiful old building with a contemporary touch. It has a beautiful inside patio which we were not able to enjoy because it was fully booked, but we will definitely go back to enjoy it. We ordered an americano with steamed milk and a cold brew- both were absolutely delicious. The menu has plenty of healthy options for breakfast, we tried the avocado toast (Green tomatoes + feta cheese + olive oil + sourdough), and a danish bread. It is a good place to work since the WiFi and the ambiance are great.
