Highly recommend! Delicious and great service. Paulina the hostess and waitress was super helpful and fun to talk to. We had the tacos - super yummy and filling. Enjoy all the salsas! And the fried cauliflower. A little salty for me but my friend loved it :-)

We love the place, the decorations are beautiful, it is like 2 bars in one, good price and very nice and friendly service, we had an unexpected visitor that sat with us and all the people respect him, a dog!! You need to visit this place, you will be impressed 🥰

A great place to try mezcal!!! We got four shots and two beers- spent the most we’ve ever spent in one outing in Mexico but it was totally worth it. We tried Tobala, Coyote, Reserva Jabali, and Madrecuishe. Madrecuishe was our fave! The ambiance was really interesting- it was either blaring Mexican music or 80’s hairmetal 😂 the man who served us was extremely kind and even took the time to bring us extra oranges. 5/5 for everything, definitely worth a visit if you’re in Oaxaca!

Really fun place with friendly people! We stopped by after most tourists left for Dia de Los Muertos and it was hands down one our favorite spots. The jukebox has a good selection of oldies but goodies. Swing by for mezcal and beer if you're in the area. It's a guaranteed good time.

I love this place. I find it crazy kitsch and lovely at the same time. It’s such a conflict in every aspect. The murals, the ceiling, the tiles and the wood paneling all shout different things at you at once. It’s a very overwhelming place to walk into. Somehow very touristy and fun in the good way. It’s a unique place for sure.

Im not so much of a bar person, it takes a lot for me to feel comfortable. Being said, I very much enjoyed this little local bar. They have a great jukebox where I found some old 80's songs, quite obscure songs even. Nothing like hearing Nina Hagen over the sounds of Mexican soccer on the TV and cheers from the patrons. The bartender was the real winner, very attentive and sincere. Although the Mezcal was supposed to be the big draw of this bar, I enjoyed the atmosphere more than anything. Grab a stool at the bar, relax a little.

Casa de Mezcal is the type of place you go to rub elbows with locals while drinking good mezcal in an establishment that has been around for almost 100 years. Far less pretentious than many of the new mezcalerías that have popped up over the last 10 years, it's a must if you want to have a trust authentic experience. Try the cedrón, a herb-infused mezcal that also helps with upset tummies. Make sure to check out the incredible murals in the sitting area next to the bar, they will definitely blow your mind.

Here locals say if you didn't come to Casa del Mezcal is like you didn't came to Oaxaca :p. Good Mezcal, the best price nice service nice place. Looks underground but everybody is kind.
