Kinta Mexican Bistro

The food is creative, high quality and delicious. The service was spot on - the right balance of being really pleasant and informative about the menu and giving us to space to enjoy the food without interrupting frequently or inappropriately. The serving size was very generous so we could have ordered one less dish... Forgot to take a pic of our fave pork dish! A very special good value restaurant.

Went with three friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed everything... excellent cocktails and apps and the mains were to die for!! I had seared tuna, one friend had pork ribs, while another had a sampler menu that we all took part in.

You need to come here.

The food is amazing.

Wood fire oven pork ribs with Jamaica-agave glaze, rosemary potatoes, Yucatán salad with a side of fired roasted elote (corn) with 5 chili aioli, tamarind and sesame seeds. 😋

Cozumel is rather limited in food choices compared to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun. I have only found a handful of places worth mentioning to friends (specifically only 2 others) until I came here.

The service is amazing and attentive. It has a beautiful outdoor setting with trees and lights. It creates a great ambiance to enjoy a delicious meal. The prices were also not exorbitant as they can be for the same type of quality in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen.

Come here. Get the ribs. Leave happy.

Thoughtful unique food that taste great and is good value for the price.  We tried the chef's degustation, octopus, skewered shrimp and a cocktail. All of the dishes were great and none disappointed.

My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic dinner while traveling with family. The food was presented beautifully, it tasted wonderful. The octopus was the first I've ever had that was really soft and not at all rubbery! Our service was exceptional, and when we brought back the family for New Year's Eve cocktails and dessert our server recognized us and stuck around to chat. You'd never guess from the outside what a beautiful garden the tables are in - it's so romantic and removed from the noise of the city. This is a beautiful spot and so reasonably priced for the quality of their food!

Great food and service. The wood oven in the garden makes it cool. We took the tasting menu, which was tasty every bite. The meats were superb (pork belly and picana) as was the lobster flat bread. And also the cocktails were well balanced with sweet sour spicy and strong. I only recommend the staff to tidy up a bit more (empty wine bottles laying around, unused tables on a stack).

My favourite restaurant in all of Cozumel!!!! I'm a vegan, and this is not a vegan restaurant, but the chef created an amazing dish for me that was not on the menu. And every time I return he amazes me with a new and exciting creative meal made just for me. I wish they would add them to the menu. The place is amazing and the seating is mostly in their rear garden with wonderful decor and they usually have live music. On the one day that they didn't the manager Daniel sang a duet with me which was received with a thunderous ovation from the dining guests.

Wow. Everything about this restaurant was incredible. Beautiful ambiance and food that was so delicious we couldn’t shut up - every other bite was ‘a moment’. We are already planning to come back later this week. Will say that a reservation would have been a good idea. They were able to squeeze us in after a relatively short wait but the place was full. So good. The reviews get it right.

Off the beaten track but close to seafront, 3 blocks, great cozy atmosphere under the trees. Efficient service with great command of English. Had two of the house margaritas, no stinting on the tequila and great mixes. Tasting menu was superb, you'll never bc think if bacon the same way and the fruit sorbet with a red wine reduction worked beautifully. The snapper with cacao was perfectly done and a tasty rub for it I would not have guessed would work so well. Definitely a revisit.

Excellent food! The best meal I’ve had in Cozumel. A refreshing and original menu. I ordered the pulpy flatbread and it was a generous portion that covered the whole wood slate. The octopus was tender and flavorful and the vegetables very fresh. My boyfriend ordered the black risotto and it was delectable. My friend ordered the tasting menu and she got six courses of delicious food.. and the Elote was out of this world. We had mojitos from the cocktail menu and loved them so much we got a second round. I would totally recommend this restaurant for a quiet and delicious meal.. take this from a New Yorker who knows the meaning of eating well :-)

This place is amazing. We eat here on every trip to Cozumel. The service is great, food is tasty and the vibe is perfect. I also forgot my CC and they emailed me and I got it back. Just can’t say enough about them.

We have been coming both to Kinta and Kondesa for 4 years now. Every time the food is amazing! I have severe celiac and they staff and chef always cater to my allergy. The atmosphere is wonderful. It is a hidden gem in Cozumel. It is a MUST go to!

This place is amazing. Great service. The food is inventive and delicious. We loved it so much we had to go back (we were only on Cozumel for a week). Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved a calming evening here with friends. Daniel the owner and Exec Chef is an absolute gentleman and a delight. A fusion of flavours and meaningful combinations chosen by him totally the right thing to do. Enjoyed every moment!

One of our favorite restaurants on Cozumel! Very unique Mexican specialty items prepared in an outdoor kitchen with a wood fired oven. I had the Cacao crusted Mahi Mahi with grilled vegetables for $17 - not a lot of food but definitely delicious! My husband loves their tacos and the wood fire grilled corn made in a special sauce and rolled in cheese. For me, another plus is seeing their little resident cat, Panchita! The music of Franco from Brazil filled the outdoor courtyard restaurant and made the atmosphere even more romantic!

We've been eating at least one dinner here on each of our Cozumel visits since it opened nearly a decade ago. Remains one of our favorite fine dining places on the island (along with sibling restaurant Kondesa).

Great ambience in the back garden, one man band playing, food was great. Only meal in our group not enjoyed was the octopus. Wine and cocktails were good

Amazing seafood from their wood fired oven. We've made this a staple of our yearly trip to Cozumel and we've never had a bad meal.
