Agave restaurant the servers were Alex Ortega and Moises Polito. Excellent service Of a wonderful authentic Mexican dishes. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful restaurant for a delicious dinner!

We were upgraded to this section of the resort upon arrival at our initial location (the Tropical) and we loved it. We loved the layout of the hotel and the amenities. We really appreciated the upgrade and if we return, we will choose the Adults Only. The only 2 things that we think can be adjusted are the fact that men can only wear pants (dress pants or jeans) to the restaurants, they could wear nice shorts not beach shorts, and the entertainment on this section of the resort is not that great compared to the other sections. The beach is wonderful.

LOVED our stay here! All of the facilities are beautifully designed - very minimalistic and chic. Everything was sparkling clean and all of the staff was super friendly. The food was just fine, not great, but I was pleased. Lots of breakfast options with a latte machine. Dinner reservations are easy to make and the restaurants are close to the rooms. We had an ocean front suite and my goodness, it was worth the extra money. The jacuzzi overlooking the ocean was such a treat!
A few things to note, room service isn't free, but you can easily bring food and or drinks up to your room. This issue is super small, but might be helpful to note, the room wouldn't get colder than 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the room felt humid throughout our stay. Nothing too uncomfortable, but that's the only reason I gave 4 stars to the room.
Not an inhibitor, but a potential area of improvement, you couldn't order food to the pool deck, only drinks. And at the beach, there wasn't anyone walking around offering drinks or food. That would be a nice add in the future.
The adult-only aspect was delightful, but it's nice to have access to the shopping and all of the amenities offered in the center of the resort on a rainy day.
Overall, I would 100% go back to stay here and would recommend anyone stay here!

Great hotel with a great staff! We felt very welcomed and loved the service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. My favorite part of this trip was visiting Ramiro at the hotel bar. He was very kind and had great service. Ramiro always made sure we were good and he makes the best drinks!!!!

We had dinner at La Comedie on our third night, and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was so elegant and private. We were served by Jose Hernandez and Araceli Castro who were so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend coming here for dinner. Remember to make a reservation

We had a great dinner during our stay at the resort. Our waiters Carlos Cab and Addy May took very good care of us and made sure our glasses were never empty. The food was amazing, all the courses we had.

Cannot find a single fault with this resort. What an incredible experience - from the friendly and attentive staff catering to your every need and want, to the cleanliness of the rooms and resort (and the rooms are so nice!), to the variety in the daily buffet, to the entertainment and to the location. The ale carte restaurants were also top notch. We were kindly upgraded to the adults only hotel (originally booked at the Colonial) and I must say we were so glad that we did - if you don’t have kids, this is really the one to be at. It’s not crowded, there’s always a lounger available, it was classy and clean and I again need to compliment all the staff (including the guys cleaning the seaweed off the beach in the mornings, to room cleaners, waiters, front desk, bartenders, towel booth - everyone was SO friendly and did their job to 110% quality) thank you for making our stay so perfect!

I love this resort! Everything about it is top notch! From the time you arrive to the attention to detail in the rooms, the service at the restaurants, the service at the huge pools, and so much more! I highly recommend you try them out! Also, the spa is our favorite in Cancun! We haven’t found another one like it in any of the other resorts we’ve been to. Also, tonight we ate at the Mexican restaurant Agave and we were attended by Alex Ortega and Felipe Solis. They were very attentive and provided excellent service, also if you don’t drink they recommended the frozen mango mojito which was so delicious! The stay here is amazing, the beds are comfortable, the views are stellar and this place is definitely on my favorite places to visit each year! Check them out, you will not regret it!

Dinner at LA Comedie...absolutely fabulous!
The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm welcoming and artful. Our dinner was delicious, and the piece de resistance was our very professional and fun waiter Jose Hernandez accompanied by his serving partner Araceli Castro. What a team!!! We can hardly wait to come back :)!!!

The Agave restaurant is excellent! Alex Ortega and Frankie Kauil were fantastic waiters, anticipating our every need. And, chef Rodrigo made the most amazing food! SO GOOD!

Absolutely best experience at Agave this evening! Our waiters, Alex Ortega and Franki Kavil took such great care of us and we were even able to try extra dishes. The al pastor tacos were fantastic as well as the chicken and shrimp. Everything was seasoned to perfection thanks to chef Rodrigo!

The dinners at La Comedie and Sapporo were excellent! We had the best service from David, Yaneth and Consuela! I would highly recommend them to anyone else that has the pleasure of dining at these restaurants!!! They went above and beyond in taking care of us and in making sure we really enjoyed our dinners!!!

La Comedie was amazing. Carlos Cab and Addy May provided excellent service. We had a 4 course meal and each one out did the other. I highly recommend this restaurant. Service, atmosphere and food were above expectations.

Melendy De Leon and Ana Dominguez served us dinner tonight with a group of our friends at Sapporo Japanese Restaurant located in Barcelo Riviera Maya Hotel. They were extremely accommodating and very friendly. The food was excellent and came very quick. This was our second dinner at this restaurant as it was THAT good. I would highly recommend this restaurant and their staff to anyone residing at this resort or any neighboring resorts.

This is our fourth visit over the past 20 years to Barcelo Maya having previously stayed at the Beach twice and I believe once at the Caribe with our son and daughter in law. We've obviously been pleased with your facility and have recommended it to many others. Our experience so far with the adults- only Riviera this week is no exception and even better. As always, the friendliness and care by your entire staff is a signature quality of your organization. We dined at at the Sapporo restaurant this evening. Susana our waitress could not have been more engaging and helpful. We understand she has been with your organization for several years. She seems to really enjoy what she does and is as professional as can be. She makes you feel like you are her only customer. You are very fortunate to have her as an employee. Thank you.

Our last evening of our trip and we had the pleasure of meeting Oliverio Torrez and Sandoval Cruz at the Buffet Miramar. Oliverio was a pleasure to chat with. He was so friendly and joked with us throughout our meal offering such great service and a kind demeanour. Gracias

My second time at La Comedie this trip. We had to come back a second time it was so good! They did not disappoint, the service and food was incredible!!! We were served by David Quiroga and Bertha Sabino and we cannot recommend them or this A La Carte enough. 10/10 experience both times!

We ate dinner at La Comedie and had the pleasure of being served by Garmi Casanova and Yaneth Garcia. They were so lovely and provided excellent service. The food was all incredibly delicious and to finish our meal they surprised us with a “Happy Honeymoon” celebration dessert!! Mucho Gracias!

I recently dined at the French restaurant and had an absolutely delightful experience! The staff were welcoming and friendly with us. The menu offered a delectable selection of classic French dishes that were prepared with such care and attention to detail. The service and the food were impeccable, and the desserts were simply divine. Our waiter Antonio Velazquez and waitress Yaneth Garcia- La Comedie were both helpful and friendly to us. I recommend coming to the French restaurant every night! I enjoyed every moment here.

The french restaurant at the Maya Riviera was excellent. Our servers David Quiroga and Yaneth Garcia at La Comedie were amazing and the food was incredible. It was a lot more food than we were expecting and each course was delicious!! 10/10

I have food allergies and they doubled checked everything for me to be sure I could eat.

The food at La Comedie is very good I would recommend them over any other restaurant at the resort. The service by Antonio Hernandez and Araceli Castro was very attentive and top tier. They are awesome, I would go back to Mexico just for the restaurant and the service.
