Mex Rent a Car

You will have to pay for the Mexican insurance on site. But they charge way less than the neighboring agencies. I think is like 1,000 to 1,300 pesos per day. Don’t buy insurance on any app!! It won’t work here or any agency. Alma was amazing. Will use Mex Rent for my car rental from now on.

Had a great experience with Mex Rent a Car just outside of GDL. I speak decent Spanish, but not fluent, and employee Elizabeth worked with me in translating some key words so I understood before signing. We received the same car we reserved, and it was cleaned and filled up before taking the keys. It is important to take video or photos of the pre-inspection to ensure all previous damage is noted. We called the main Mex Rent a Car line for an extension on our second to last day and they were able to oblige. I was then given a copy of the charge upon my dropping off the vehicle at the end of our trip. Upon arrival to GDL, I called the number in our reservation email and an employee in the shuttle van came to pick up my group. They also dropped us off at GDL after we concluded the drop off procedure. Overall, 5/5 stars and a great experience with Mex Rent a Car. I would definitely use them again.

I've used Mex Rent a Car in Los Cabos Airport and in Guadalajara Airport and I've never had any issues. They take care of me with good cars and reasonable prices. I got full coverage insurance through their website instead of using a third party service that's cheaper, but if something happens to the car it's harder to deal with the 3rd party provider. Mex Rent a Car is my go to, to rent cars in Mexico when I'm traveling. I recommend them. Gracias por el buen servicio

Compared to thrifty next door here in Guadalajara Mexico Airport, the price was way cheaper. About $350 dollars cheaper for a week. Same vehicle. Great customer service as well. Got us in and out in 12 minutes.

Reasonable car rental prices. Somewhat of a wait to get car and not much seating area for passengers and luggage area to wait since just arrived from airport. Representative was nice, answered all questions. The process for returning the car was smooth and quick. Would rent from them again.

I rented a car from this location for a week and had no preoblems whatsoever. They picked me up from the airport and brought me back to this location. The gal at the front desk was very friendly and honest. She answered every question I had (I had A LOT) and not once did she make me feel pressured to buy any additional coverage. Beware they will require some type of coverage but they are happy to go over everything. The car rental cost after coverage and everything comes out close to what it would in the US. If you feel like it’s a lot ask for alternatives and ask a lot of questions. I did and felt as ease leaving the facility. Returning the car was a breeze and had zero problems which was the icing on the cake. I will def be renting from here on my future trips to Guadalajara.

Excellent service affordable and no hidden fees. Definitely would recommend for any future car rentals. Very pleasant and friendly service. Cars are clean and in good condition.

Very friendly staff, answered all of our questions and made sure we understood what we were signing. To avoid any surprise fees I would recommend paying for full insurance coverage at their location (not through an online site). The price we paid for a van was very reasonable as well. Overall excellent service and would 10/10 recoment mex rent a car (or at least this location) to anyone travelling to Guadalajara.

Swift, helpful employees. Seemed like the full insurance coverage was the way to go. We had a week driving from Guadalajara to Morelia to witness the "El Grito" of Sept 15th in the main Plaza. We drove to Pàtzcuaro & to Zirahuèn, all in Michoacan without incident. Only lovely, friendly people all along the way.

They were fast and friendly. I had reservations through Budget. And even with reservations i still was not guaranteed my rental . Not a variety of car rentals but it did the work .

Great service the only thing is that they didn't respect if you have a reservation if the dont have cars they just tell you I'm sorry we dont have more cars and you leave with out a car
