If you stay in Zipolite, stay here! If I could give 10 stars I would. Best rooms, best food, most attentive service all around. The staff is a delight. The front desk organized pick-up and drop off to the airport! I don't have enough good things to say about it.

I was skeptical if this place would be worth the money but BOY was it ever worth it! I absolutely plan to return, either by myself again, with my partner, or with friends. It’s perfect for all those different use cases. The restaurant is DELICIOUS (I ate there too much hahaha), the pool serene, the breeze and sounds of the ocean exquisite, just everything…

I didn’t stay at the hotel but the beach club was amazing! The service and food was really good and on point. The owners dogs were running around and super friendly. Highly recommend

I've stayed here twice now once in a deluxe room, and once in a standard room. Beautiful property albeit a bit expensive. The standard rooms are...standard and pricy. We had AC, it was on the ground floor, super quite, louvered windows (no glass, just wooden louvers). The nicer rooms are nicer (fully enclosed), and generally worth it, if you're already paying the prices charged.

The restaurant is fantastic -- great service and food. The hotel is well run and staff are nice / accommodating.

Location is super, basically the beach at the north end of Zipolite, secluded and swimmable. Less than 5 minutes walk into town, no going uphill to get to the resort.

Generally speaking, if you're looking for a higher-end, quieter experience it's at El Alquimista :)

This place has excellent staff and makes you feel super comfortable. The bungalow we stayed in was right on the beach very comfortable king size bed with two fans fresh water every day delicious restaurant highly recommend

Beautiful location, great service, wonderful food, amazing view, wonderful swimming, great rooms. All round just a great experience.

Amazing hotel in Zipolite! Staff was extremely attentive and they work hard to keep the place in perfect shape.
Be sure to try the morning yoga on site.

The rooms can feel quite dark at night as there is limited lighting but overall a beautiful property. Great for couples.

Diverse clientele enjoying a great meal on the beach. Jillian was our server and he spoke English as well as Spanish. We had a strawberry daiquiri and mimosa! The view is spectacular. Don’t be surprised if someone (guy) takes off his cloths at the table and goes for a swim. Women and children are in the eating area having a blast. The water is a little rough so be careful! Next trip I plan on staying here for a few days. I highly recommend you bring your friends snd family for a relaxing day by the beach.

Fantastic restaurant! On our stay we came back 5 times for lunch and diner! The staff is very friendly and attended. The food is very well presented and delicious. The size of the kitchen and the number of staff working there shows how serious they are about food. On top of all of this, it is in front of an amazing beach. I am already looking forward to come back. Thank you for taking so good care of your guests!

The best food I’ve found in Zipolite. Almost every dish was excellent. The restaurant is part of a 4-star hotel so naturally you pay a premium but the views, the service, and the gastronomic quality make up for it plenty. Some of the highlights were grilled whole red snapper, black seafood risotto, and shrimp cocktail.

We stayed in El Alquimista for two nights with a room over looking to the ocean. The sunrises we woke up to have been one of the most special we have ever seen. The hotel's staff was very lovely and helpful. We also had a few meals in the restaurant downstairs which is a little pricier compared to others but the set up/ambiance and the food have always been great! If you are visiting the area, definitely stay here and make sure to get a massage in their spa! ⭐

Excellent friendly staff, I was traveling alone but felt safe walking from the hotel to the main strip as there are short bits that don’t have street lights. A gorgeous place with lovely food and drinks. They put lots of candles on the rock at night so it looks extra special

We didn't have the opportunity to spend the night at the hotel, but we spent several wonderful days there as guests of the restaurant and beach bar. We are absolutely enchanted by the atmosphere of the place and the service, which is top-notch. All the drinks we had the opportunity to try were excellent. Very sorry that we did not spend our entire stay there😢

I always enjoy eating at the restaurant. The setting on the beach is really beautiful, during the day and at night. They light lanterns \on the table sand candles on a boulder, which is very romantic. The food and cocktails are are good.

Didn’t stay in the hotel, but visited the bar and restaurant on a regular base. The breakfast is amazing and the juices can’t be fresher. Great view from both the dining area as well as from the hammocks. Food and drinks are definitely higher priced than elsewhere on the beach, but the view, the service, the cleanliness and the quietness are worth these extra pesos.

I loved this hotel in Zipolite, I’m going to come back.

Heaven on earth! The best hotel and beach bar in zipolite. At the end of the beach stretch, fantastic food, great vibe without too loud music. Prices are relatively higher to all other places in Zipolite but for westerners still low. Love it here

El Alquimista was an amazing experience. We showed up for a late breakfast and stayed til the sun went down. The food, service and drinks were top notch. The water isn’t for the faint of heart it’s rough and you need to be a strong swimmer.
