Governor's Palace

This building is a masterpiece of Maya architecture. With the subtle balance of the composition, the large spans of the corbelled vaults, the incredible mosaic roof that spans the entire length of the building, the Governors Palace it is an absolute must see at Uxmal and really a tour de force of all Mayan architecture. The platform can be scaled and the rooms can be entered. The south side of the platform is currently being restored which will bring this magnificent building to a condition near to what it was during its glory days over 1200 years ago.

Such an epic experience. Plan to spend a whole day here at the Choco Museo and all the Cenotes around you. Entry was 450 pesos when I went.

Završetak posete drevnom gradu Ušmal, obično je na platou pored i ispred same Guvernerove palate. Ukoliko imate dobrog i informisanog vodiča, ovo je i vrhunac posete.
Guvernerova kuća se smatra najboljim primerom drevne američke arhitekture.
Veruje se da ju je oko 900. godine sagradio vladar Ušmala lord Čak i da predstavlja simbol „ključnog trenutka u istoriji arhitekture Maja“.

Budynek, złożony z trzech części połączonych strzeliwymi poprzecznymi sklepieniami, ma 328 stóp długości i stoi na szczycie ogromnej czteropoziomowej platformy, która wznosi się ponad 50 stóp nad poziomem gruntu. Został starannie umieszczony, aby zmierzyć się z planetą Wenus jako gwiazdą poranną. Został również ustawiony, aby pokazywać równonoc słoneczną i wydarzenia przesilenia. Obecnie jest w renowacji, więc stoi przy nim rusztowanie.

To miejsce jest warte zobaczenia pod każdym względem. z piramidy, na która można wejść rozpościera się piękny widok na dżunglę. Miejsce ma do zaoferowania również idealne miejsce na spędzenie kilku godzin, np. przy pracy lub nauce albo po prostu przy odpoczynku. Bilety wstępu są tanie i jest tam zawsze mało ludzi. Magnifique site, paisible et ombragé. On est loin du tourisme de masse de Chichen Itza. Les monuments sont bien conservés dans l'ensemble et très raffinés.

Es un lugar muy interesante! Todos los detalles que tiene la construcción son increíbles, realmente vale la pena buscar información para saber sobre su historia y verlos de cerca. Muy recomendable.
