Front desk - very welcoming and friendly.

The building is beautiful.

The museum is the perfect size, not too big to be overwhelming and not too small to leave you wanting more.

Cauduro’s artwork is captivating and speaks to the subconscious mind and touches upon the intersection where multiple dimensions meet.

Entry - free

Orozco’s hauntingly beautiful murals are worth spending much time contemplating.

We plan on returning a few times before we leave Guadalajara.

Highly recommend stopping by.

Checked out the museum today and it was worth the visit! It’s free to enter, and you’ll spend about an hour walking around. Most of the art appears to be contemporary except for the mural in the auditorium. There’s a mix of mediums, including audio/video. I really liked the architecture exhibit the most, which features award winning designs from around the world. There’s a gift shop near the entrance.

Love a free entry! We went on Tuesday and it was very worth the trip. The mural on the ceiling is breathtaking and the rest of the galleries held such a variety. Happy to know about this and will be back on my next trip to GDL!

Highly recommended. It's free and has the excellent Orozco murals and the temporary exhibits I saw were both strong. Right by the beautiful cathedral too.

I went specifically for the immersive exhibition they had. There were 2 rooms with the immersive experience and both were really nice and entertaining. The museum is really well maintained and clean. The staff is polite and helpful.

Heard about this from Airbnb reviews of a spot we didn't end up staying at. Very cool and highly recommend. I really enjoyed the dioramas of Frida and Diego's home, and I also highly recommend heading upstairs while you still have energy.

Air-conditioned and free! Go!

I cant comprehend how someone could give this place less than 5 stars. The museum has amazing murals, great exhibition's, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, beautiful spaces and its all donation based.

We went to see the Leonora Carrington exhibition and it was really great! At the moment there is no entry fee just a donation. There were various fascinating exhibitions of different mediums. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the historical centre of Guadalajara! The shop also has lots of lovely bits for anyone looking for souvenirs!

One of the many free things to do in Guadalajara. Great museum with a mixture of contemporary and classic art and sculpture. One of the most stunning classical architecture in Guadalajara. As it’s the old university, there’s a lot of graduation ceremonies held there. Definitely add this to one of the places to visit as part of your sightseeing

We had the opportunity to visit the expo "En casa con mis monstruos" that is about the work and collection of Guillermo García del Toro. At the end of the 2 and half guided tour we were so pleased and happy with all the things we got to see. It is a really vast expo, divided in three, his work, his personal collection and a lot of the art that has inspired him throughout the years. The place looks so pretty and it has the right atmosphère. The guides were nice and helpful and the lobby at the beginning was very cute, overall we were very happy with everything, it's worth seeing and taking the time to see everything.

This was a great museum to stop by! There were about 5 exhibits open when I went though it looked like more will open soon. Great mural by Orozco and a nice exhibit on Frida Kahlo. Would recommend visiting. I didn’t pay an entry fee.

Opens at 10am sharp. Free entry and safekeeping of bags/jackets. Exhibition on two floors. As a non-native Spanish speaker I could have wished for more English translations of the explanations, but enjoyed the artwork nonetheless.

A must see in GDL for art lovers. This place is a gem for serious art aficionados. The building itself is an architectural gem. I was so glad that I got to visit this place during my brief stay in GDL. I got exposed to an artist named Leonora Carrington ! I had never heard of her nor recall seeing her artwork in Europe or US. The MUSA was having a special exhibit on her.

The museum has very interesting collection from mild to spicy. The building is well maintained and cared for. If I am not mistaken even there was no admission fee!!

Thanks MUSA staff and management on job well done.

I don't have such experiences here but it'd be a good place to visit if you came from another part of the world.
