Market for locals. Do not miss it if you want to try real food cooked for real people. Ridiculously cheap tacos: 6x$36 (Mexican pesos). Lots of food stalls on the ground and 1st floor.

The place serving flautas on the second floor is second to none! Very quick service, very tasty and made fresh when you order. There's always a long line here and it's no wonder why - their food is worth lining up for (don't worry - the line moves quickly).

Flautas are generously filled with shredded chicken, and topped with crumbled cheese, crema and salsa verde.

I'll never have a better flauta than this!

Went there just for an experience! What a contrast right after visiting plaza andares. This place is pretty wild! Full of noisy people, cheap things, cheap authentic shabby looking eateries… still giving it a 5 stars because it is a real Mexican authentic market not spoiled by outside influences. Loved it!

The amount of places here and the friendly people make it a prime destination. Get some food from La Gloria and do some shopping!

So far this area, including the Mercado is my favorite area in the old center. It's a hustle and a bustle with shoppers, food, authentic shops and I didn't see a single other tourist while I was there. A real Mexico experience!

Nothing like Mercado Sonora in CDMX, but the best we have in Guadalajara to my knowledge. Great food on the lower levels and less intense than Mercado San Juan de Dios.

I love buying huge candles and herbs on the top floor. Great place to find different oracle and tarot cards as well. I always buy a jamaica drink on the way out. One of the few markets was great bike racks on the front of the building.

We had a really good experience we ate tacos asado and Tripitas, my friend wanted a shimp cocktail and the guy went to go get her the shimp cocktail from another place which was super nice of him. Went to eat on the second floor had a combination plate of 6 tacos of your choice of meat and a coke for 65.00 pesos. Good food and great price.

Almost ANYTHING you're looking for, at the best prices. You will not find tacos de canasta and homemade foods better than Mercado Corona. Extremely satisfied with every trip I have made since childhood.
