Puerto Vallarta is so lovely. It's is beautiful, colourful and full of life. We went in November so they still had the day of the dead statues up. They have stalls in the evening and on Sundays is when it comes to life with all the locals. There was a local market where we got some food and drinks and there were many locals dancing to music. It was just beautiful to see.
This place will steal your heart!

This is a beautiful boardwalk. I walked along here both during the day and the night was really hopping too. It leads you into many shops and restaurants. There are many vendors along the way. You will also find some really cool statues and art. You may even see the some fireworks.

Great place to come and walk around and see the sights. We encountered many American citizens living their winter months in nearby condos. They mentioned the area was a safe place to visit. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars. Come with small bills or pesos to by from local vendor's. The shop employees do not seem to haggle prices. The place tobiy your souvenirs seems Tobe the market which is a few blocks away.
All in all a must see.

Nice long strip to take a stroll along the water. We were told from the middle point you can walk 45 minutes in each direction. Many choices for restaurants and lovely photo opportunities.

A gorgeous place to walk while in Puerto Vallarta, the malecón has a lot to offer. Right off the beach, you can spend the day swimming or relaxing. Along the boardwalk, there are a series of sculptures, all of which are unique and interesting to check out.

Cute but touristy shops line the street, as well as restaurants that offer great views. You will be paying more here for both food and goods as this is THE tourist destination, but having a drink on a patio is still definitely worth it.

Just off the boardwalk, you’ll find the church, some better priced restaurants, and the chocomuseum. Continue down the malecón and you’ll either end up in the flea market or the zonal romantica. Both excellent places to find yourself.

Enjoy!

We took an Uber from our resort to the Malecon. It was about a 10 min drive from the hotel zone. Lots to see along the shore. There were men that would hang up side down and spin from a rope. There are street vendors actual store fronts, bars and restaurants. A lot of different places to get souvenirs to take home. Sadly when we were here a hurricane had just gone through and then a flash flood so trees and power lines were down in the area. This resulted in the majority of the buildings in this area to not have power. Going inside the shops was unbearable with how hot and humid it was but all the people were still happy and friendly. Unfortunately if they don't have power you can't use your card and the only way to buy stuff is with pesos or American US $ and use their conversation rate. Lots of places to stop and take pictures. We were a family traveling around, we had a stroller which was easy to get around on the main street area but a little tight on some of the back areas. There is a casino in this area and some of the well known taco places a lot of people will talk about. Definitely worth stopping by for a stroll on one of your days. We spent a few hours here.

Down town main drag "Malecon" you can find everything here all your shopping for gifts and novelties, pharmacy and FOOD. Alot of bars, restaurants. At night the big nightclubs open up, and the "night at the Roxbury" serious club vibe in full effect. Ocean veiws restaurants can be find on this strip.
