La Catrina Restaurant & Gallery

Our favourite place in all of San Carlos. Jorge is so kind to everyone and runs a beautiful place. The art they sell is all incredible and we've bought a few we love dearly. The food is all amazing and I've never had a bad meal here. They have so many offerings, like live music, mexican night, weekend brunch buffet and more you could go there multiple times a week to try something new and unique. The staff are excellent, super kind and know what they're talking about. If you haven't tried it I absolutely recommend going.

My husband had the surf 'n turf & I ordered the La Catrina shrimp.

The food was delicious and fast. We showed up on New Year's Eve without a reservation and we served some very good seafood.

They can even make some furniture and paintings for you to your specifications. We will come back when it's not our anniversary. Muy Bien!

Jorge and his staff a very attentive. The food is incredibly delicious. We have had breakfast and lunch so far and now we are planning a dinner. Can't wait to come back to this place.

I've eaten at Jorge's new restaurant twice already. Both times were excellent. The food is fresh and delicious. Jorge brought a chef from Sinaloa. The place is very clean with nice outside seating available. The menu is mostly seafood. Since meeting Jorge last year I've always felt good about doing business with him and now I feel the same way about his restaurant.

Amazing experience! Jorge the owner is very hospitable and we had the best lobster dinner ever! The restaurant itself has hand made artisans (art, hats, bags, rocking chairs, etc) all made by hand by the owner! Truly amazing restaurant and people working here! The icing on the cake was their rescued turtle Conchita who roams around! We will be back!

Wonderful place all the way around. The food was delicious, the owner and staff are very kind and provided a great experience, an there was a fun band and nice atmosphere.

Quite possibly some of the best shrimp tacos I've ever had (Tacos Gobernador).

Cozy and traditional atmosphere, excellent wait times (~20 mins), and plenty of initial snacks to make waiting a breeze.

La Catrina San Carlos was the BEST service, ambience & FOOD! The owner is a beautiful soul that wants nothing but the best & he gives it to you. You want a night to remember, go to la Catarina.

Great place for dinner. Had the stuffed fish filet. Ir was fresh and delicious.

Went on Mexican buffet night (best to phone for reservations) but a friend ordered off the regular menu too and she said it was good (mango shrimp) The food was good quality and lots of variety. Excellent and friendly service. Take pesos as their machine was not working but they said not to worry and come tomorrow and pay (which we did). Very trusting. They had an entertainer singing Spanish and English songs... very entertaining.

What an amazing find! The food tastes as good as it looks. You can tell they use fresh quality ingredients and they serve liquor. The restaurant is also an art and gift shop so there is a lot of interesting things to look at while you are having a meal and the staff are friendly and helpful. This is one place you really get what you pay for. I have eaten here several times and enjoyed their catering and I am always surprised at the beautiful presentation of delicious food. Jorge/George goes above and beyond to make the events special. Always gracious and usually smiling.

This place is newer and has some of the best food around. The mango shrimp is FABULOUS. Never been disappointed with the food, service, or atmosphere. It's easy to miss because it is on the side road, but worth turning around to get to the right road. Park in the lot to the East if no parking in front.

A newer place in San Carlos and well worth a visit! The menu is creative and the quality excellent. We were so glad we ventured out for something new. The service was friendly and attentive, our dishes were well prepared and full of flavor. Next time we'll go for lunch and try the tuna blueberry tostada!

Fabulous dinner. I had shrimp four different ways and my partner had the surf and turf. Everything was perfect including the margaritas. The restaurant also showcases local artists. Lovely place.
