The Rayón Pochote

Fantastic little peaceful nook where you can order food on one menu from multiple high-quality kitchens. The juices are amazing and we highly recommend coming on a weekend for one of the “paquetes” (meal deals) which include a hot beverage and a juice. Everything we’ve had to eat here has been delicious and we also picked up a few items from the tiny natural foods store and the clothing shop which features very impressive renditions of tradition designs at good prices. Don’t miss this place!

Amazing place with outdoor tables and lots of flexitarian options. The menu is actually a combined menu from three different restaurants that share the space so you can order from all three. The juices are really fresh and they have alternative milks for coffee or tea. I ordered a shrimp plate with rice and it came with salad, fruits and a dressing made from guyaba and beets. It was INCREDIBLE and great value as well (120 pesos).

One of the best breakfast I ever had. The omelet with vegetables was nicely done, the juice were made freshly, and the latte was done nicely. It is quite cheap and they provide delicious food. I highly recommend them.

Fabulous juices from Señora Mora!!! The pink page. Would come here every day. Rest of the vendors also very good. Make sure you get the right food court: you want El Pochote Rayón Mercado Orgánicer.

I love this place. All food has been super tasty, made from fresh ingredients. I don’t eat meat and found plenty of dishes that were really good and always accompanied with fresh veggies.

The food here, although not the fastest to come to the table, is worth the bit of a wait since it amazingly takes flavor to the next level. The cheeses, tortillas, teas, etc. taste incredible, and the colors and decoration make you feel at home.

Was there for lunch with my wife and my sister/brother in law. This is a place where you have several venders. You can order drinks from one, your food from another and at the end dessert from a third. I had a Jugo Verde and a vegetarian hamburger that comes with a small side salad. Shared a side of fries with my wife. These were real potato fries done just a hair on the firm side. Awesome. The burger made from different seeds. It was all great and definitely a place I will return to since I am in town for another month. All the people in our party was impressed both with food quality and with the friendly service we had. Come for the best juice bar in Oaxaca: Señora Mora’s place inside this cool courtyard with several decent restaurants and, of course, the juice bar.

It’s less a market than it is like an outdoor food court. You sit down and receive menus from all the restaurants there, so you can easily order things from multiple places. The juice stand was incredible - so many versions of aguas frescas and fresh juices! We also got a platter and sopa de frijol, both fresh and tasty. Well priced for what you get!

There’s a small store next door that has spices, honey, and other local goods. If this place ever had stands selling other types of items, they aren’t available now during COVID.

The Rayon Pochote Organic Market was located on Calle Rayon and was a cute local market to visit.

It was a quiet outdoor market with a variety of stalls selling healthy meals, fresh juices, and organic produce around a peaceful courtyard. There were lots of vegetarian-friendly options. It had a nice relaxed atmosphere and was a great place to browse.

I enjoyed a delicious carrot and orange juice there. Would recommend visiting!

This local market offers exquiste fresh dishes. It is clean, quiet and excellent service! The food in every booth is very tasty. Stronly recommended!

Go to Mama Lechuga and get enfrijoladas w/ tasajo. It will not disappoint! For 20 pesos more add fruit plate and coffee. Delicious.

I love the Zuguii restaurant in the back! Super service, food is always amazing (specially their paquete breakfasts) and you can call to order beforehand too. #Zuquiirestaurante

The prices are affordable for an occasional visit. The food is absolutely amazing, I suggest the jugo Verde, it's some of the best I've had in Oaxaca!
