Clean, comfortable, economic hotel walking distance from all central attractions, free on premises parking and additional paid parking next door as well as a Taxi base. Great option for pet owners, small park around the corner. Friendly staff. Good Value.

No it’s not the Ritz-Carlton, the rooms are quite basic (but characterful) and it can be noisy from time to time (bring earbuds).
But the prices asked are very modest and for this you get a room in a great location to explore the city, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms are very clean. If you travel by car, free parking in the patio is even included.
If you are looking for luxury there are plenty of other (much more expensive) options in town, if you want a great deal on a basic room you can’t go wrong with this hotel.

Totally friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathroom. Bed was relatively comfortable. Good value for money. Basic but the room had everything we needed. Nice little rooftop terrace. Staff even allowed us to park our hire car safely for one night. Thanks again! Muchas gracias!

Nice cheap hotel quite close to the centre, small clean cozy rooms, private parking in the patio.
Soundproofing is not good, all the rooms are close to each other.

Got a small room with own bathroom for $450 M pesos. A little bit pricey for a traveller that stays in hostels, but very close to downtown. Great area to stay!

Simple hotel with friendly hosts. Hot running water with plenty of pressure! Recently remodeled rooms. Dirt cheap. Cost me nearly $21 USD per night. Mind you the exchange rate is currently nearing $21 MXN / $1 USD. I've stayed here twice in two years - still satisfied. Very close to 20 de Noviembre and El Zócalo. The street name is Miguel Cabrera, but just ask any taxi to take you to Hotel Villa Alta.
