Waldos

If you are looking for a Mexican version of The Dollar store or Dollar tree ,you have found it at Waldos.Some food items and beverages and savoury treats. A typical mish -mash of what most dollar stores have on offer.Prices are low but unlike a dollar stores ,prices are generally more than a dollar but stll heavily discounted. Inventory moves fast on some items.....these mugs were $2.30cnd...all 100 gone in a day

Waldos has a little of this, a little of that. Kinda like a dollar store, Mexican style. I needed a couple of coffee cups and Waldos did not disappoint! 2 cups, 59 pesos!

Waldos is one of my very favorite stores to show up at in Puerta Vallarta. They also have a second store at Plaza Cole but my favorite go to is the one in centro. The staff are helpful if you need help they're easy to seek out and they know where everything is it's not a really big store but it's big enough that it holds a little bit almost everything.
I plan my Waldo's trips a good month in advance, because of the specialty items I know I will find there. I don't go into the city much so when I do I make sure I have or 3 shopping bag to fill up.
It's the one stop shop that has clothing, Tupperware, a small selection of snacks (some you can't find ANYWHERE else), some hardware items, personal toiletries, coloring books and basic stationary items. Plus things for the house, babies, pets, traveling etc. I would compare it to a really great dollar store from about 6 years ago before the dollar stores went 'cheap' on the product quality. If you are near one of the two Vallarta area stores I GUARANTEE you will find something you want/need.
Prices are FANTASTIC on everything. I don't think I have ever thought anything was over priced.

Very similar to a dollar tree back home. lots of discounted items to choose from from house cleaners to party favors.

Excellent selection of everyday essentials from cleaning products, kitchen utensils, toiletries and haberdasheries, cellphone accessories, plastics, snacks, batteries, stationery, tools, clothing and seasonal items. Most items 29 pesos. Gen the most expensive is 200 pesos. Seasonal merchandise in stock ahead of time

Great prices and a different selection everytime I visit. Christmas decorations already available, which is fantastic for those of us that do any home cradting/creating. Reasonable prices on some rare finds. Staff doesn't get in your way of checking everything out but tey are helpful when asked. I like shopping at Waldos. That's why I keep going back!

Ok Downtown, best place cheapest place to get stuff if you need it for your stay, I'm here 3 months picked up cool things I needed and 5 min. From my flat. They have household items, to, kitchen stuff, food, a lot like a dollar store in USA..I was excited, service good..location great

Very easy to shop here. A decent variety of home goods and miscellaneous items.

You could find many of your essential needs at this store. It’s convenient and cheap to shop here. The prices are unbeatable!
