Hotel San Francisco Plaza

A beautiful old hotel right in the middle of Centro. Close to tons of night life (bars, restaurants... more bars...).

I stayed in two rooms; one in the middle of the hotel on the 2nd floor looking out into a beautiful inner area/garden and the other on the 2nd floor overlooking the street in front of the hotel. Both were great rooms in their own way.

Bed, bedding, bathroom all very clean. The only thing I did not have was hot water when showering, but that works for me b/c I am currently into cold exposure to increase my body's production of brown fat which increases my overall metabolism, but I digress...

I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Guadalajara.

The people who work here are the reason I stay here. I've been greated with smiles and treated with respect. The hotel is only a 2 minute walk to DosTemplos, where there is taxi and bus service, restaurants and shopping all within a 5 or 10 minute walk. I didnt use the internet so I can't say if it's good or bad, however they have a newer cable TV package and the channels were all good. There is and always has been hot water for the shower, the mattress was firm and provides a good night's sleep. The air conditioner worked fine when I was here in the summer. The room is clean, fresh sheets and towels daily. As I mentioned before, very friendly staff. Love this place. Only bad thing is maybe you should be more alert at night time in this area.

We had a great stay at this hotel. I read the high and low reviews and made a decision to stay. I'm usually very picky with the places I stay so I was a little worried. However, the hotel was cute had nice charm, and the rooms seemed very clean. I was pleasantly surprised. They also had a cute buffet in the courtyard which my family enjoyed. The room was a little small, but that's to be expected in a building as old as this. I will be returning!

This is my favorite hotel in all of Mexico. Initially I stayed because of the incredible Colonial Style architecture. I keep going back because of the staff. They are so kind and so helpful - even to older guests like me.

This is a very modestly priced hotel. It offers comparable service to near hotels costing twice as much.

This is one of my all time favorite Mexican hotels. The classic colonial charm reflects historical character seldom found in other hotels. The staff is also very welcoming. It is always a pleasure to stay here.

The rooms are large and spotlessly clean. Bathrooms are modernized.

There is an on site restaurant that offers a full buffet breakfast every morning for a very reasonable price.

My only note of concern. The rooms along the front of the hotel open onto a small public square which can get a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. If this is an issue for you, just ask for a quieter room.

It's a wonderful place with a colonial spanish touch. The location is just great beacuse is in the center of GDL and near the Diana theater. The rooms are really cool and warm it gives you a homelike feeling, and the service is great, all the staff are nice and courteous. It was an amazing stay.

Old Mexican hotel , looks nice all around the hotel it’s beautiful and the restaurant have a great Mexican food !

Great location in el Centro. Cool rooms. Loved the grand doors and mini balcon. Enclosed parking around the corner. Juan Manuels were helpful (both of them :). Reasonable price. Earplugs always a good idea in hotels. Glad we stayed here!

I really liked this hotel. The building has wonderful old world charm. The rooms spacious, clean and comfortable. Really well located too.
