Restaurante Coronita

I came here for their famous 7 Moles. They did make one for one person ($350 pesos). It was fun to try different moles. They were mostly quite spicy except black moles. The staff was very attentive although the atmosphere was nothing special, average hotel restaurant. Recommend for Oaxacan experience!

Wow! Super delicious! A few people recommended this restaurant to me, and they were right. The food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and so was the service. I had the mole manchamanteles with pork and it was very good. I will definitely return when I come to Oaxaca again.

The 7 mole tastings was so much fun! This is a must do to get your education on about moles. Delicious art.

If you love mole then look no further. Restaurante Coronita served us about 10 different moles.

From the lightest, to green, to almond, to the deepest chocolate, the range of moles was unbeaten and extensive.

They accompanied their moles with homemade tortillas and rice.

To drink we were served a variety of waters, beers, organic wine, Mezcal margaritas and traditional margaritas.

It is my strongest opinion that every visit to Oaxaca should include mole, and a rich variety of moles. And Restaurante Coronita is the only option.

Lovely, quiet alcove off of the street. The dining room was cool, with lots of fans to make it comfortable. Very good food, quick service, lots of options. The café de Olla was really good with the small roll served with the meal. The fried egg paquete with black beans, salad, and tortillas, as well as the huevos ranchers were great!

We had the seven mole platter for two. It was extremely filling and delicious! Claudio was an excellent server and explained the purpose and ingredients for each mole. It was a great experience for us.

Stopped here for a quick lunch and it was delicious. The chicken soup was some of the best I've ever had, really hit the spot with their homemade tortillas. Their mole chicken was also really good. They have 7 different mole flavors to choose from so you have a lot of options.

We enjoyed our lunch, it was of good quality and at a reasonable price in the very center of Oaxaca. The serves are huge and the service attentive. Thank you :)

Just had dinner at this local restaurant. I ordered sopa de guias and black mole with chicken leg. Both dishes blew me away. The soup was flavorful and the mole was the best I'd ever tasted. I don't speak Spanish but the waiter was super friendly. Good job!

Spacious clean restaurant with delicious food.We visited multiple times while traveling Oaxaca. Waiter, waitress are polite and owner Alejandra is beautiful kind lady!

This is THE place to get the 7 moles and have an overall great dining experience. The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I tried the "degustacion de 7 moles", it can be considered pricey for local standards, but it's well worth every cent, we were both full after the meal.

Marvelously made moles, each and every one of them is delicious in its own special way.
Don't skip the opportunity to try these, you'll be surprised how good they are!

We had an amazing lunch here. The server truly knew the menu and explained what everything was. She helped us pick things we would like and we were not disappointed. The food is great, they have parking, and the restrooms were nice.

I would recommend asking for the 7 moles as that will give you the opportunity to experience the wealth of flavour found in the 7 moles of Oaxaca. Service was great and they made sure I didn't run out of fresh corn tortillas during my meal. Definitely worth a visit if you're spending some time in the city.

La Coronita welcomes you with friendly, professional staff to a gorgeous dining area. I ordered the half portion of the degustación de Mole. Each bowl offered a generous serving of uniquely delightful sauce. Even the free bread tasted fabulous. The family has been running this place since 1948 and they clearly know what they're doing

If you’re looking a true Oaxacan meal you have to visit Coronita. It is a family owned restaurant, and the recipes have been passed down for three generations now. We had the “degustación de los 7 moles” and they explained to us the meaning of the moles and how each is a celebration to an specific event. You also must to try their ice cream of “leche quemada and tuna”. Definitely this restaurant has to be on your oaxaca bucket list.

A must visit at Oaxaca — we tried the tasting menu of 7 Oaxacan mole. It was superb! Amazing food at a very affordable price.

Best breakfast I could find in 5 days. I was looking for pancakes and bacon. They were absolutely delicious!
