Best restaurant we've been to. Nice and clean restaurant. From cocktails to desserts - we enjoyed every drink and dish. Our waiter Jose Luis was so patient explaining all the ingredients on our dishes. The moles were delicious. The pastel de elote taste so homemade. The chocolate tamal was super delicious. Kudos to the chief!

Grasshopper tacos: A textural delight, balancing earthy notes with vibrant salsa and creamy guacamole.
Chocolate tamale: A revelation, the sweetness of chocolate playing in perfect harmony with the savory mole.
Ambiance: Warm, inviting, and steeped in Oaxacan charm.
Overall: An experience that goes beyond food, a celebration of tradition and culinary creativity
Service: Jose was amazing and pleasent with welcoming smile

Awesome food for flavor + presentation + and cost. Customers service was very courteous made us feel special, this is one of the best places to eat Authentic Oaxacan cuisine.

Food: We had enchiladas con mole y plato Oaxaqueño. Both plates were delicious, balanced flavor, though el plato Oaxaqueño could be spicy for some, they also have a good mezcal selection as well. I had the Tepeztate. (4/5)

Service: Attentive, great recommendation, and fun. Excelente (5/5) 👌🏽

Atmosphere: Lovely, but not loud or overwhelming. Aerial opening, intimate yet roomy. (5/5)👌🏽

This is a relatively upscale place with a nice upstairs seating area overlooking a small tree-filled courtyard.

The service was great!

We enjoyed their guacamole, soups, beef tacos, fish of the day, and more.

Their mezcal drink were very good as well.

I could not recommend this place enough! First their menu is very authentic from Oaxaca offering recipes I have never seen elsewhere but to please all palates with several vegetarian options! We ordered the molotes de platano macho, the green tortilla soup, the plato oaxaqueño, el chile de agua en vinagreta and it was all to die for. They even accommodate a special plate of Grill chicken, rice and steamed vegetables for my 4 year old and he loved it. Every bites were full of unique flavors and it is keto friendly. The drinks and service were great too! And cherry on the top they had a live saxophonist playing but it was not too loud just perfect to set the mood! I was referred by other friends and was so happy they talked to me about this gem! Don’t miss on it!

Loved their food. Went here for lunch and had an amazing meal. We tried different plates and they were all excellent. Our favorite was the plantain dish with mole, highly recommend it!

The Mole Trilogy is a flavor journey for your palate. Avoid the chicken breast if you can - it's a little dry. Highly recommend the Guelaguetza cocktail and roast beet salad. Would come back just for the pitcher of cucumber and lime water alobe, it was super refreshing on a warm day.

Elegant and traditional restaurant in the center of Oaxaca. Nothing fancy, traditional Oaxaca food and cook. What you get is what you see.

Fabulous, might be my new favorite restaurant in Oaxaca City! We ordered both mole samplers (one with chicken Other with pork belly), which meant I got to try 6 different great moles. Discovered I actually prefer the sweet ones. The traditional black mole was amazing!

We had the cheese flan, chocolate tamale and chocolate mousse for desert -mousse was super rich and tasty!

Tip: we liked the rooftop terraza (not obvious on entering that they have one$.

Wonderful dining experience. This was the first restaurant I went to in Oaxaca; I was determined to try the grasshoppers, which were quite pleasant. The mole trio is a must; the almond was my favorite!

The food was yumalicios and highly recommend.

We didn’t make a reservation and waited about 30 mins. The staff were great and very attentive. The chef even came out to check on us, which added to the experience.

Must try the Jamaica with mezcal drink, I had to get two. The trilogía de moles was so good and a must if you are in town. The rice was cooked to perfection.

Must try if in town, but make a reservation to avoid the wait or being turned away.

This place was on my list of want to go during the trip for its mole. We had the black and red (sweet ones) mole. Both were rich tasting (mix of nuts, spices, chili, chocolate etc.) with grainy texture which I prefer to runny kinds. The red one had more of a kick for sure! I'd say the mole from this place was definitely the more delicate and refined of the ones we tried in Oaxaca. I do wish and would like they put more vegetarian options though for the seven moles. Very few choices and the vegetarian mole is only green (cilantro based for this scared of cilantro).

Also recommend the beets salad and Oaxaca queso appetizer (can get it without the grasshoppers).

Service was quite cold and mediocre.

Excellent option for breakfast (what I had). You can try here all the typical local dishes like enchiladas de mole, enfrijoladas and many more. The atmosphere is really nice, just make sure you reserve in advance to avoid the long waiting time. The sweet bread can be more “fresh” but this is the only negative thing I can think of.

This place was really good! The rooftop terrace seating area was beautiful and they had live music too. The complementary tortillas and salsa were really good. I got the poblano peppers and my husband got the tasajo. Both had great flavor and were delicious! We got the chocolate tamale for dessert which was really good. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Travelling from overseas, I was told trying mole is a must. But I’m vegetarian and hadn’t found somewhere that I could go. So I was ecstatic to see they had mole here as a vegetarian option! The restaurant was beautiful, the service was lovely and the mezcal was great. I felt like I had a real Oaxacan experience :) my boyfriend had the dos moles and he loved trying the different types
