Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

All I can say is wow. My husband and I just spent a week here and got married at the hotel and it was beyond both of our wildest dreams.

Nubia is the wedding planner here and she exceeded all of our expectations beyond anything we could have imagined. She is genuinely sweet and helped us create our dream wedding from 2,000+ miles away! Planning a wedding is not easy but she made it feel like it was. From the private customized check in with our guests, stunning event locations, an excellent eye for detail and delicious food and drinks, we don’t have a single complaint.

When I say the hotel employees will do anything to make your stay unforgettable I’m not exaggerating. If they can do it they will! The water aerobics at the pool were a blast, as well as the service while lounging in your chair by the pool. Azul was great for breakfast and lunch, but getting breakfast on your balcony at least once is a must! Beach is beautiful and clean, all the restaurants were a hit, entertainment at night was great, and the SPA. If you have time the spa was incredible.

These people really take pampering you and making sure you are relaxed and truly enjoying yourself to the next level and I’ve never been to a place that pays this much attention to that. Thank you so much to Nubia and all of the staff at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. A week we will never forget!

Best service we have encountered at a resort, everyone is quick and pleased to help. Tons of amazing drink options with fresh fruits, I highly recommend a blended tamarind margarita.
We specifically looked for a location with a separate bedroom so we could put our toddler to sleep but still hang out not in total darkness. Bonus was the stroller and highchair the lent us.
There was always food available for our toddler and we loved that the kids club allowed a 2 year old with parent supervision (other resorts would not allow parents to stay so it was 4 and up only).
Food was really good (except for the pool nachos- weird cheese).
Beautiful location, they are working hard to keep it maintained but could probably use a refresh in a few areas. Would love a lobby area bar for sunset drinks.
Would return in a heartbeat.

We had previously stayed at Grand Velas in Los Cabos and loved it so thought we would try another one of their properties. This location is a bit older, but the service and amenities of the resort are just as wonderful. The concierge service is a highlight. Mario Chavez was our concierge and he was top-notch: always in touch and checking in and helped us with everything we needed.
The Infiniti pool is beautiful and hard to stay out of! Grand Velas has a great signature style.

We had a great time. The quality of all the restaurant food was award winning. The service at the pool was exceptional along with the food there. All the staff were so friendly. Also the spa experience and the fitness center was excellent. Very important was our view which was excellent

Absolutely the best place I’ve been to in my life! I’ve never even conceived that service could be so good. They will do everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, you ask for. Just great people here. We rarely visit the same vacation spot twice, but we will definitely be back!

We came to the Grand Velas in PV for the second week of our honeymoon. I'm so glad we came here to end our trip on such a wonderful high.

Instantly you're welcomed when you check in with a massage and champagne. No pressure to do anything other than relax and be pampered. The room we reserved was ready and we were escorted right up to an amazing suite with incredible views of the property and ocean. Let me be clear in saying - every room has the same incredible views.

We were assigned a concierge upon our arrival and she looked after every dinner booking and query we had. Each day she checked in with us (how she found us scattered all over the property was an impressive task on its own - even if we were in a cabana on the beach!) The poolside staff and bartenders are amazing and the service here is easily the best we have experienced in all of our travels, all over the world.

The food - if you're looking for delectable and creative food experiences, this place is a must. With four main restaurants (Italian, Asian Fusion, French and of course Mexican Cuisine) your choices and options are abundant. The menus are extensive and you could experience multiple visits to each with different creative selections each time. Again, the service in each of the restaurants is top notch and each table is treated like they are the only ones there.

The pools are nice as they offer a main pool and an adults only area - the swim up bar is a must and they will make you any concoction you can dream up - or, ask for them to surprise you and they will delight you with top shelf creations that seem to always be better than the last.

Venturing off the property is easy - with Ubers and cabs at the front within minutes if your call. The staff also keep tabs on who is taking you to what location and when you might be back, and made us feel very safe.

We have stayed at MANY different locations globally and we have tried to come up with one con that may be considered or reported but as I typed this, and asked my husband for his input on anything to include in this post, we both came up empty handed.

It says a lot when everyone we talk to on the property says they come back over and over and over again - we feel the exact same way and can't WAIT to come back again. We wouldn't even consider another option now that we have found this amazing gem. We are so grateful to experience this resort and look forward to many more visits!

Parlor Ocean View: asked for higher floor, got the 8th floor, large room with extra daybed and a full sofa. Balconies have a lot of space and great views of the bay and sunsets. If you are staying in a lower floor, I would recommend asking for a room close to x30 which is approximately the center of the resort and will get the best ocean view. I would still prefer 824 to a lower floor and would gladly return for another vacation to this room.

The hospitality is just incredible. You feel pampered all the way. It seems like everyone knows your name and whether it is the pool side concierge or the call center or even the television! Everyone gets a personal concierge, our concierge found us in the lunch restaurant and then kept in touch via WhatsApp. Whether you want tour advice, a babysitter, dinner reservations or a late checkout - I just asked Mario and he made it happen.

All the workers seem happy and proud of giving a good service. The front desk Antonio welcomed us in and was very helpful in upgrading us to the 8th floor when I requested a better view of the bay. Another morning when I woke up early the front desk night person opened up the Gym for me. These may be small things but convey “guests first” attitude.

Everything in the resort feels of the highest quality-- coffee pods and tea bags, pillows and linen, television and furniture, twice daily house cleaning service and morning breakfast buffet that feels hot from the kitchen. The pools are large and there is always ample space in the pool side bars, the restaurants, the pool chairs, beach cabanas. And the service is very prompt!

The beach is excellent. It is not rocky or pebbles or seaweed. Just soft brown sand that stretches for 100 meters or so. The low tide exposes the shallow beach and there are many people strolling along. The place is popular among locals and has a vibrant feel. Bodyboards, kayaks and surf boards are available at the resort.

Overall if you are looking for a place that treats you like royalty and has lot of things to do, but doesn’t feel excessive or wasteful or too spread out then this is a perfect place to spend a week-- just soak in the sun and surf and fine dining and exceptional service.

We traveled in early February with 3yo and 11yo boys. If the younger one was just one year older we could have left him at the Kids club where there were a lot of activities. Babysitters are also available for $20/hr at a few hours notice if you want to have a quiet adults only evening. I would love to return to this place and cannot recommend it enough to others who are looking for a relaxing time like us.

Overall an awesome report. Beautiful place. Amazing service, good food and location. You feel pampered the whole way through. We will definitely be back.

Positives :
- Our personal concierge Mario was amazing. You just tell him what you need on WhatsApp and it magically happened.
- Frida restaurant is a must try
- Servjce almost everywhere is top-notch
- All inclusive doesn’t hold back in quality. It includes premium offerings, Cabana etc. you literally don’t spend on anything during the stay
- small thing, but the laundry was quick and inexpensive. Comes in handy when your kid needs two swim suit changes every day. You generally don’t feel any upsell in resort
- No timeshare push here

Can be better:
- Service can be slow around the pool and in some restaurants
- the Asian restaurant was underwhelming
- Had a strange housekeeping experience the very first day. The room was half “done”, slippers left on bed, towels not picked up, minibar not filled and cleaning supplies left in room. Didn’t repeat so I can leave it as a one off
- Not much to do around the area. Maybe Sayulita and the downtown for a couple days but you are really here for resort and it can get boring after 3-4 days. Plan accordingly

Beutiful! So clean. The staff works incredibly hard. All inclusive is fabulous. You aren't getting money out all the time! They have wonderful up scale restaurants, but you can also get a cheeseburger and fries.

Amazing Experience. Beautiful Hotel. The Service was Amazing. The SPA ypu have got to try!!

Do ask for Maria Torres as your concierge. She is very knowledgeable about events and will help you with any need, including a Dr in any emergency.

Also for the Best Experiences and the Most Amazing Adventures ask for Hector Guicho amongst the bellboys or message me for his deets. He took us to some Hidden Gems including restaurant, beachside hidden spots, tequileria, boating. He made our experience UNFORGETTABLE!!!

Amazing gym, Aerial Yoga, and spa. I was blessed to spend a month attending the gym and spa almost daily. Luis always welcomed me to the beautiful clean gym daily. I LOVED attending Aerial Yoga with Yeraldi. It was the most spectacular experience. So much fun and Yeraldi is excellent !!! I was welcomed at the spa with "welcome back " each and every time with the best service! The best experience!!!!

Grand Velas is an absolutely amazing resort! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful couldn't ask for more from them. The food is great and they have options for just about anyone. 6 great restaurants ranging from a buffet to nicer restaurants with phenomenal food and staff! The pool area is fantastic 3 large pools with a swim up bar with great drinks. All the activities were so much fun whether it be beach volleyball dodgeball soccer or basketball they have activities for people of all ages. Overall I enjoyed my week here and would definitely come back again given the chance. Thank you Grand Velas!

Beautiful location and amazing service, best food and drinks ever. Always felt that everyone truly wanted to ensure we were taken care of. Brian our private driver was awesome too. Trip to Sayulita was the best. Maria, Jorge, Christian, Patricia, Alexander, Carlos and many others were all amazing and always there to make us comfortable, well fed, and drink in hand. The hotel was beautiful, rooms huge, beds comfortable, restaurants over the top excellent food and wine offerings. I can't think of one complaint except that trip was too short. Will be back for sure!

This resort!!!! 💕 Just go! Invest in a memory of a lifetime...because that is exactly what you will get when you stay at this resort. There are absolutely no words to describe how absolutely incredibly perfect this resort is. From the gorgeous view from the rooms, the attentive staff, delicious food, and 5 star hospitality. This resort nails it! We went as a family of 4 with 2 pre teens. Sheri took the girls and literally entertained them and played water sports with them all day. My husband and I never waited longer than 10 min for a perfectly groomed, attentive, incredible kind host to refill our premium drinks. Our Ice never had time to melt before our drinks were refilled.
Cesar at the Italian restaurant treated us like we were royalty. The food was incredible and presented with perfection! Best Italian food I have ever had!
The entire hotel has this gorgeous smell that is captured in my mind forever! Every morning we would wake up, and get Mexican coffees, watch the whales and eat breakfast in the beautiful outdoor dining area. They even have a small hawk with a trainer that flys randomly around the perimeter of the outdoor seating in order to prevent pesky birds from trying to touch any food.
The view from our room was the best view I have ever seen from any other hotel we have stayed at! And, we are world travelers.
The manager and pool concierge would check in with us randomly each day to ensure our stay was perfect.
We had a personal conciege, Ramon. He would check in with us every morning and send us the timeline of any activities that were happening as well as reserve dinner reservations for us each night. The infinatey pools are perfect. Perfect temperature, And look sparkling clean. The landscaping and property is immaculate and just stunning. They even have little housing areas for honey bees to nest in, making it eco friendly.... everything here is just extra here! I don't know how they do it! But, it is perfection. This resort created the most special and beautiful family memories for my husband and I.
There is not a week ....hardly a day that goes by that we still don't talk about the Grand Velas! We would return year after year if possible. It was the best vacation, and the most incredible experience we have ever had. It is by far, above and beyond my highest expectations. It is truly a 5 star resort. And, the best part is I have these rare and extraordinary memories that will last an entire lifetime, with my little family. Treat yourself and go experience something truly special!

I cannot recommend this all inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta enough! Especially if you’re travelling with infants or young children while still feeling like you’re staying in luxury. Do not let the price tag deter you. It is worth every single penny and then some.

I'm not one to write reviews often, but after spending five remarkable nights at Grand Vellas Resort in Puerto Vallarta, I feel compelled to share my extraordinary experience.

From the moment we stepped into our hotel room, we were greeted with a collection of thoughtfully curated gifts for our baby. These gifts were a testament to the attentive nature of the staff, who had clearly taken note of our prior communications. Our personal concierge, Mario, proved to be exceptional. He attended to every request with utmost care, whether it was scheduling appointments, arranging for specialized baby food in-suite, or ensuring we had ample sunscreen on hand.

Traveling with specific dietary restrictions (vegetarian, sugar-free, and tailored baby food) can sometimes be a challenge, but not at Grand Vellas. The chefs and service team went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were not only met but exceeded. Every meal felt like a carefully crafted experience, customized to our preferences.

Despite the resort's impressive size, there's a palpable sense of familial care in every corner. It's as if every aspect of this establishment has been personally touched by those who run it.

The spa experience was nothing short of sublime. It's by far the best I've ever encountered. Additionally, the aerial class in the gym was a highlight. The instructors and personal trainers displayed a level of expertise and encouragement that truly stood out.

When Hurricane Lidia unexpectedly hit, the team's response was nothing short of remarkable. They ensured the safety of all guests, providing a reassuring presence during a potentially stressful situation. Even with the chaos outside, we felt secure and well-cared-for within the resort's walls.

Furthermore, when a tiny issue arose in our room, the maintenance team's response was lightning-fast. Within minutes of notifying them, they were at our door, efficiently resolving the matter with professionalism and courtesy.

Every member of the staff, from the bellboys to the in-suite room service team, exhibited an exceptional level of service. Their warmth and dedication truly set Grand Vellas Resort apart.

In short, our stay at Grand Vellas Resort was nothing short of magical. The level of personalized care and attention to detail is unparalleled. I can't recommend this resort highly enough, especially for those seeking a truly special and memorable getaway.

We spent 9 days with 2 families (11 and 9 year olds) in November. The location and resort (pool and beach) are beautiful. However, the exceptional service is what makes the resort special. The kids loved all the activities with Mariano, AJ, Pedro, Sherry and Carlos. Breakfast/lunch and dinner at Azul was fantastic, especially with the service of Carlos, Antonio, Ricardo, Phidel and Pablo. We always had amazing pool service with Gustavo and Jorge. This was our 3rd time at the resort and so many of the staff remember us. Our 8 year old nephew cried his last day saying goodbye to all the staff who made his stay so special, bringing one of them to tears as well. Highly recommend the resort to anyone.

Our family had a great time at Grand Velas, top notch service, great entertainment from Mariana, Carlos and the rest. Food at Pilaf was amazing, drinks were great, pool was always very clean.

Nothing short of amazing! The service and attention to detail is provided upon arriving at the property. We were greeted with neck massages and a refreshing beverage. The check-in process was effortless. The property itself is paradise. This is my 2nd time staying at this property and I look forward to returning next year as well. Trust me, you will not be disappointed staying at this property!
