Chipinque A.B.P. Ecological Park

TRAVEL TIP: Buy your tickets online ahead of time…otherwise struggle to get wifi there to buy them online and waste a lot of time as the transaction struggles to go through. ($80 for 1 person or 2 for $140)

The park is beautiful and well-taken care of. Lots of trails and clean bathrooms and playgrounds for kids. We saw deer and coati.

Amazing park! Loved the view! Very kids friendly, easy access to bathroom. You can drive to the top or hike (moderate to hard hike).

Good place for hiking, cycling, or just a family adventure. Nice views to the city. If you are going during night prepare yourself with a light. No pets are allowed.

If you like to hike and climb, this is a good place to do it. There is staff to help, the bathrooms are in good condition, we saw a few park rangers, there are areas for picnics and kids to play. The views are wonderful.

I love that it's possible to drive so far up, not requiring a hike - not a great idea for my currently out-of-shape behind.

Great natural park with trails of different difficulty and viewing spots over Monterrey. It is also magical during foggy and rainy day.

You need to buy your park passes online. They don't handle cash at the park entrance. Many park rangers provide security throughout the entire park. Staffing is top-notch. You can tell they love their jobs. Watch for bicyclists and pedestrians. Tight blind switchbacks. We saw large mamals. No bears this time. Some type of raccoon creature not uncommon in these mountains.

Amazing place, if you visit monterrey you must visit this park, even if you don't hike you can drive up to the hotel and enjoy a great meal with an amazing view.

It's a wonderful park. I took the 2.2 (4.4 total) kilometer express hike and the trails were easy to understand. I was lucky enough to come on one or the very rare snows in the region. The view at the top is astonishing make sure to bring 2 water bottles one for up and one for down the mountain. There are some trash recepticles so hold onto your litter and dispose of properly to keep the bears and animals off the trails.

Terrific for a day hike out if the city.
Step walk from the main gate but mostly good track with only a few sections of unformed steps.
Great views of the plains and the valleys around Monterrey.
Take some water and snacks for the hike.

This is one of the top places you should visit if you are from out of town. Trail hikes and sightseeing fun for the whole family. People who have a hard time being mobile can just drive up to the top and enjoy the same activities as everyone else. The hikes can be pretty tough, so I would not recommend having small children with you on the trails, but up at the top near the hotel are plenty of fun kid activities. We took Vereda Escenia 1 up to the top which probably took close to two hours to climb but could take longer if you stop to take lots of picures.A top instagram worthy spot are the giant slides and view from Mirador La peñita. Great fun and worth a visit, just watch out for the bears!

Nice park on the side of a mountain overlooking Monterrey. It has plenty of places to park and have a picnic. It does have a three Banos/sanitarios/restrooms, and they are spaced apart, but not well marked. They seemed semiclean. There is a gate and you have to pay $5 or currently 110 pesos to get in. It was busy on Christmas day.
