Santa Hierba Jalatlaco

I love Santa Hierba. From the healthy food options, atmosphere, and the service, there’s no better place in Oaxaca! You can literally taste the love in their food. I’ve gone the past 4 days in a row and brought a new friend with me each time, that’s how good it is. And the staff is phenomenal - especially Kimmie - who greets me by my name and with a smile each time. She is so giving and you can really tell that she and the rest of the staff love what they do! Kudos to Santa Hierba for always spreading joy and love through their food and their service!

My go-to spot! Every dish is so fresh and colorful, definitely taking advantage of the abundance of delicious ingredients Oaxaca has to offer.

Cozy corner restaurant in Jalatlaco with indoor & outdoor terrace seating. A vast menu with a variety of healthy options ranging from toasts, to salads, to bowls & pastas. Plus many hot & cold beverage choices including fresh-pressed juices. We personally enjoy the ginger lemonade! Brunch menu is served until 1pm. Truly can’t go wrong with any item on the menu!

The staff is always attentive and friendly. Restaurant has a laid-back vibe, very cute!
Bonus- restrooms are always clean.

We went here our last evening in Oaxaca and it was lovely. The staff were great and happy and attentive. We had the hot chocolate with cardamom and that was amazing. The food was presented amazingly and did a great job minding allergies and preferences. Great fresh ingredients. We loved it so much we had to go back for breakfast the next day. The staff was so kind and really were so attentive to us. The space is so beautiful, we absolutely loved it. The Salmon was really good!!! Also loved the cake!!!

Enchanted with the food and place most of the menu is vegan 🌱 have a gluten free option plus everything is organic and homemade, food is delicious, they also have a kids menu went in a group of 5 with 3 kids and everybody was so happy with their meal, great customer service explained the menu for the customer that have doubts.

One of the better non-Mexican meals I've had in oaxaca. Awesome avocado toast with medium sunny side up eggs on top. It was a lot of food!

This is a great hidden gem. I spent hours working here and was so, so happy to find a place with decent matcha lattes.

I also got the pink smoothie bowl which was good but had too much coconut. The hummus was super delicious. Would definitely go back. The service was excellent!

The older sister of the other Santa Hierba branch, the place is a little smaller but offers the same wonderful plates and tastes as the other one. don't miss the waffles (we found the Cacao waffle to taste the best among the three options).
The drinks are also very well made, are creative and served in really unique cups.

I love this place! I came once for breakfast and had chilaquiles and once for lunch with their salmon bowl. They also have a great selection of coffee and juices. The staff is super friendly and they have a nice terrace upstairs. Bonus: They also have good wifi.

Pricey, and the portions aren’t huge. The food is very good, the ingredients are quality. The menu is well labeled for different food allergies/preferences.

Delicious food, decent prices and beautiful location/ambiance. We found it a bit tricky to find great food in Oaxaca, this was not only one of our favourite meals but for sure best breakfast. We had the omelette that had the most delicious mole on top with fresh greens. Not greasy compared to other breakfast places we tried. Shared the yogurt/fruit dish, also delicious. Pastries are to die for! We had the danish pasty with fig - wow, best pastry ever. We are just sad we didn’t get to go again before we left!

Here at Santa Hierba, we found a great option, the area is super cute, furniture on point and the decoration is amaizing.

The best brunch spot we found in Oaxaca! Fantastic attentive staff, food quality and selection was brilliant and the upstairs roof terrace had a great vibe. Perfect for a lazy brunch with friends or a remote work spot

A really fine vegetarian restaurant, with a nice and friendly atmosphere. The food (veggie taco's) and drinks (power shakes) were perfectly fresh and tasty. A place to return to many times!

Vibes!! Staff is also very friendly. I wanted to buy some edible flowers from their cooler, which weren’t for sale (I didn’t realize), they sold them to me anyway. Delicious espresso. Love the presentation and decor. Will go back for a meal before I leave!

The quality and taste of all the dishes is AMAZING! The first time I was there I’ve ordered the “In the mood” tee & “energy balls”, and was the best decision for dessert! 👌🏻

As I was really amazed by the great cuisine, I’ve returned to Santa Hierba (this time for lunch), and again couldn’t believe the amazing flavor of the dishes! I had a market plate of cheese with the avocado and edamames side dishes! I was really happy with my food and the cozy atmosphere of the place really made me enjoy my food and have a great experience!

Loving this cafe/resto. We sat on the terrace and it was nice with view of a mural. The food was great and reasonably priced.

Really great coffee and fantastic breakfast. Decent wifi for working or studying. Fills up quickly, so it can be tough to get a table on weekends or busy days — but if you can score one outside, it’s a really lovely setting.
