Amazing place to spend time. Raquel and Julio are both very insightful people. Their Temascal ceremony and ancestral readings are authentic and thought-provoking. Food was great, accommodations were comfortable, and overall energy was incredible. Oh, and the coffee is tasty as well. I definitely recommend this place!

We had an incredible experience with the temazcal and birth reading at Rancho sangrado. The atmosphere was serene, and the temazcal session was deeply healing and cleansing. The birth reading was insightful and provided valuable guidance for the journey ahead. Another highlight was the opportunity to prepare the cocoa ourselves for our cocoa ceremony, which added a personal touch to the experience.

The family running the place is simply lovely, and they made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our visit. Their warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of comfort to the whole experience. Furthermore, we were delighted by the presence of the sweet dogs. We also indulged in delicious meals prepared by our hosts.

Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking spiritual renewal and guidance. Thank you to the wonderful family for such a memorable time!

We did a 2 day experience at Rancho El sagrado. You will be welcomed by quite a pack of dogs, so be ready :D. The environment made me slow down and relax very quickly. I've learned a lot of new things about coffee and cacao harvesting and enjoyed transforming temazcal experience. Both hosts are very welcoming and I think it's a good price/quality ratio, but of course it depends on what you expect from the experience.

Our stay at Rancho Sagrado was planed for a few days and turned to a couple weeks.
The place itself offers the comfort of cabañas surounded by nature, very quiet and peaceful place, you can get refreshed at the river in front of the ranch.
A little away from the small town of St Gabriel Mixtepec, it is easy and cheap to go with a Moto taxi for the shopping needed.
The family is very welcoming and produce coffee, cacao and some tropical fruits. Going around the plantation with Julio was a wonderful experience, we can feel how much he cares for the nature around.
With his wife Raquel, they hold unique Temascal ceremonies including essential oils and can give you traditional birth energy reading according to the Aztec calendar.
From a one day experience to a long terme stay, I highly recommend this place, we built great memories there !

Well worth the trip out from Puerto Escondido to stay for a night or two. Friendly and chatty hosts in a beautiful and peaceful setting, with clean rooms and bathrooms.

A big, tasty mexican breakfast, lunch and dinner can be provided at a reasonable cost. A very interesting tour of the coffee plantation was 150 MXN. Good place to visit if you are in to birds - bring your binoculars (and repellent if bites bother you).

To get here on public transport you can take a shared taxi (colectivo) from behind the market in PE to San Gabriel (45 MXN) and then a mototaxi the last 10 mins to Rancho El Sagrado (20 MXN). The road to San Gabriel is *very* bendy and might be too much for those who easily get travel sick!
