Fantastic restaurant with great view of the mountains. The restaurant is spacious and is a great spot to eat and drink after a sweaty hike to the ruins. The food is Mexican and is served by friendly people. Even the band is perfect. I would definitely recommend to go there

Great place right in the center of Tepoztlán with a nice view of the Tepozteco.

First time at this restaurant. Menu includes high end Mexican cuisine. A new twist on classic dishes. I particularly enjoyed the cilantro soup with toasted almonds. Beautiful view of the Tepozteco.
I hope I am able to return someday to taste other dishes! 💯🇲🇽

Very good food and great service for more than 25 years, a classic spot when in Tepoztlán. The sopes with goat cheese, tostadas de chicharrón and duck enchiladas are delicious.
They could have a better wine list, it is short and way too many Mexican options.

Great Mexican cuisine, worth the price. The patio has a very nice view of the El Tepozteco mount. The location in right by plenty of stores that surround the plaza.

10 for food, 10 for views, 10 for service. I simply loved everything about this place. A little more on the high end price, but it's definitely worth it all. Loved the Chiles rellenos, and their steak is to die for. Highly recommended for a nice date night or a large group gathering.

Great place to have lunch or dinner. Gourmet food! I do recommend this place. If you are by Cuernavaca or Tepoztlán you might want to visit this place. Environment is very nice, meals are excellent (drinks as well) service is very good... perhaps the only "bad" this restaurant has no parking lot!!! Believe it or not... I would strongly advise Ciruelo's management to work on a parking lot EVERY DAY (added value)... there are parking lots around... of course, independent from this restaurant and with additional cost... A parking lot own by El Ciruelo restaurant would be really nice... and as added value with no cost to its customers.

Absolutely amazing place. The live music, the atmosphere and the absolutely STUNNING view is complemented by some truly fantastic food.

Increidable view of the mountains while you eat. Exquisite menu, it was hard to choose from all their delicious plates. Nice service. It just took a long time to get seated because they get really busy. But the wait was worth it

I was not expecting the expansive views when I walked in. What a nice surprise. The patio area is under a translucent fabric cover that’s a couple stories tall so it feels like you’re outside even while you’re protected from the sun and the elements, and affords stunning open air panoramic views.

I started with the nopal tower with huitlacoche and goat cheese. It was excellent. My main was the fish encrusted in amaranth with a mango salsa and topped with mandarins, with veggies and rice on the side, also excellent, and the use of amaranth was a nice twist on traditional breading. It was more than I could finish so I took the leftovers to go. One of my companions had the duck enchiladas which were also delicious. Another companion had special dietary requirements which they were able to accommodate.

Other reviewers have commented that it’s expensive but I thought that for the class of restaurant, the setting, and the quality of the food, the price was fair with good value and I would highly recommend it if you want a top notch dining experience in Tepoztlán.

We asked for a "regional taco speciality" and they had something pretty unique: ant egg tacos! Tasted somewhat like hominy. They also had cervesa artesinal. Beautiful garden seeing for the dining with the rugged mountains as a backdrop.

Definitely a place to visit if you are at Tepoztlán. Food is excellent and service is good too. Great atmosphere and a little bit away from the craziness of the main street.

I sadly forgot to take pictures of the food, but let’s just talk about this view!!!! The view alone is worth it. It was our first time visiting Tepoztlán and my Mexican boyfriend said.... “oooh, this place is very famous.” So, we went and it did not disappoint. I am highly allergic to dairy and they had many good options for me. Also lots of healthy options like a quinoa salad and I had a delicious carrot soup i believe made with coconut milk! If you’re in Tepoztlán you must go!

Delicious Mexican food. Chiles en nogada are the best when in season. One of my favorite restaurants in Tepoztlan. Great view. Good drinks. Great service. Beautiful view of the Tepozteco

Shut up and eat real Mexican food in this place

This is a really good restaurant, is not cheap but everything is tasty and well proportioned. Try “cecina”, they serve it with beans and “enchilada de mole” which is one of the best “mole” I’ve ever had.

And desserts are great too!! So don’t hesitate and get here whenever you’re around!

Great Mexican food and very nice service. The best thing is that it is pet friendly and it has a great view! I’d love to visit again.

Sunday we stepped in for drinks and snacks. Went back today for lunch and the upper portion that we were in on Sunday is under a complete remodel. Didn't miss a beat. Sat in the lower area and the food and deserts were outstanding.

Ant Eggs with Epazote, with guacamole and freshly baked tortillas. Very good.
