State Department Store

Over all I’d say it’s the center most largest mall in the city.

It has over 3 levels of stores and inside you can find things like clothes food outdoors products sports products electronics and much more.

In the winter it’s beautiful decorated. I do believe it may have a the water as well.

I do all my shopping here the prices are better than good price and the quality is just as good if not better

Has everything you need from electronics to souvenirs. Good section of some artworks also.

The vibe is nice. It feels old but comforting. You can get some cashmere clothes there and look for souvenirs near the bookstore. It's worth a short visit!

A fully equipped shopping mall/ department stall at relatively affordable prices. There’s a big Nomin supermarket that has almost everything you can get-fresh bakes, fruits, salads, cheeses… any you mention-for daily needs! You can also get some handy souvenirs in the top few storeys… from handicrafts to art pieces, Mongolian traditional costumes to musical instruments such as Morin Khuur… many restaurants offering a variety of international good food along the street leading up to the store too! You can definitely make this place a basic during your travel.👌🏻

According to my local fiancé, this building has been renovated due to a fire. I'm not sure what it looked like before, but it looks phenomenal now.

Adorned with luxurious fixtures such as chandeliers and golden elevator doors, it is now celebrating it's 100th anniversary. I suggest placing any bags in the supermarket lockers inside past the jewelry on the 1st floor and then go browsing. This is because you can't just buy things there, you have to pick your items and they give you a ticket to go to another counter to purchase your goods. This is also a great place to exchange money. Very good rates.

You can pretty much find anything you want here, especially great souvenirs. Yes, it may be a tourist trap, but it's hard to navigate alone around Ulaanbaatar and this place makes everything so easy. From jewelry on the 1st floor, to Mongolian souvenirs and books on the top floor, you can do it all. There are electronics and local cashmere as well as foreign brands. Great for either a morning or afternoon trip.

One-stop shop for all your needs, including several phone carriers on the 5th floor selling various SIM cards. I chose Unitel’s 30-day 20GB plan which cost 40,000 MNT (~$12 USD; ~$16 CAD). There’s also a shop on the main floor offering dry cleaning and laundry services.

This department store sells all real stuff, and has a variety of shops unlike other department stores here.

It's tourist souvenir section is large enough to spend 45 mins there.
Coffee shop is good, and super market is big enough here.

Marvelous!! We found great gifts and lots of Cashmere items. Prices were reasonable and large selections.

A true UB standby… you can get just about anything here. The grocery store probably takes the cake for me, though. The slightly hidden lower floor also offers tons of healthy and fresh food options, which you don’t often see in UB. I probably spent way too much time wandering around in there, but I have no regrets!

A very popular store with tourist. The entire building is a Department Store. The top floor sell high end Mongolian cloth. Expensive but very nice quality.

The department store / gallery is the perfect place for shopping, currency exchange and meeting local people. Every tourist from abroad will find something for themselves there

Excellent department store. In addition to what you would expect from a large department store, they have a wide selection of books and arts & crafts from Mongolia ay prices half of what you pay at other shops.

Well located place. Not far from the center of Ulaanbaatar. Here you can find a variety of products and items. It has big food store with big s3ction with alcohol, liquor and beer. There are days when you can buy two beer, bit pay for one. Such kind of sale. Several coffee shops will allow you to take rest from shopping, just sit there and get back to shopping. You can buy flowers here as well. On the first floor there loads of make-up stores. In one of them you can get your face skin checked with subsequent report sent to your mail with recommendations on what would the best skin care be for your type of skin.
