Hazara Indian Restaurant

A really delicious Indian restaurant near the Wrestling Palace! I loved all the food, especially the tomato soup and butter chicken. The salad was very fresh and nice to have since food in Mongolia is meat-heavy. The masala chai and mango lassi were also delicious! The owner is also really nice. Highly recommend to have a meal here ~

This is by far my absolute favorite Indian restaurant on the planet! The food is perfectly spiced and the beef dishes are some of the best beef dishes I've had anywhere. Each spice stands out giving it a strong but distinct flavor, without overpowering the rest of the dish. It is clear that the owner has put years of culinary experience into this place.

Additionally the atmosphere is comforting and beautiful. The first time I was here, the owner took me around the restaurant and explained the history of nearly every furnishing. If you get the chance, just take the time to take a look at all beautiful doors and cabinets imported from India.

Overall, I cannot recommend this place enough. I come here every time I visit Mongolia.

We had a wonderful meal at Hazara. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff really kind, and the food delicious. After a few weeks in the country side eating lots of meat, we really enjoyed a great vegetarian lunch. We will definitely come back if we have the opportunity!

I enjoyed the best food here, especially lacha paratha that they always make for me on special request in olive oil on hotplate in traditional way. Friendly owner Mr. Khan also visits in summer and it was great talking to him.
They also make most amazing comfort food. I had memories of Missee Roti from my childhood and I had this amazing thing with Galuti Kebab for the first time and loved it ❤. This Kebab melts like butter in your mouth. By the way don't forget to tell them how hot do you want it mild, medium, or spicy hot 😜 😋

The interior design and the cuisine were authentic and really lived up to expectations. The only thing that could have been better atmosphere-wise is the red table covers that hide the beauty and authenticity of the wood and brass of the Indian tables, making them look ordinary. It might be on the pricey side, but the experience and the food are definitely worth it.

The host was warm, gracious, and attentive. The food was out of this world!!! The wait staff was conscientious and thoughtful! Don’t miss an opportunity to dine here!

Great Indian food, a must visit

We had an amazing meal here with our group of 9 visiting from Canada. The food and service were excellent. A wide variety of dishes (and range of heat levels as we had some kids who don’t like heat!) and several comments from our group that the roti was the best they’d ever had. The samosas were a huge hit too, among many other dishes. Highly recommend making a stop here.

Delicious North Indian food in a beautiful setting! The owner was so thoughtful and showed great hospitality to our group of 25. Food came out quickly too. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely delicious! So many wonderful dishes. They say on the website that you’ll need a reservation, but I am guessing this is just in peak hours and/or peak season. I walked in around 430pm on a Monday in December and was seated right away. Menu has Mongolian, English, and great pictures

Really excellent North Indian food. Plenty of vegetarian handi dishes, slow cooked in copper pans. The Baingan Bharta (slow cooked aubergine) and lentil daal were particular highlights. The garlic naan is crispy and very aromatic.

Excellent restaurant! The food was amazing and the best thing is that the the food is very authentic. I also enjoyed the ambiance/decoration. Excellent service too. I would love to go back.

Excellent, read a review about the butter chicken so I had to have it and it was very good, chicken was beautifully cooked, had the saffron rice and a large Chinggis beer - definitely worth a visit

This was an enjoyable eating experience! The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the owner greeted us personally. We had naan, of course, chicken tikka masala and saag paneer, amongst other menu items. Even our team member who was born in India approved!

Always a wonderful experience here at this gem of a family restaurant. Wonderful food in a warm atmosphere and enormously friendly service. Always come here when I'm travelling through UB. Highly recommended.
