La Rosa Tapas & Tequila Bar

So, I've been traveling the world since 2015. I am from Southern California near the Mexico border. We have GOOD Mexican food in Southern California- close as it can get to Mexican without crossing the border.

Since I left the USA I haven't found GOOD Mexican- this place had DELICIOUS fish tacos and yes although Tapas are traditionally from Spain- not all food here was traditionally tapas style.

Let's just say, it was freaking GOOOOD!

I think the husband and wife duo are hitting an another homerun with this one. The food is absolutely fantastic especially when it’s really hard to find the right spices and ingredients. All dishes are latin cuisine inspired. There are no compromises with ingredients. The dishes come in small portions so you can order a bunch of them to try all kinds of flavor combinations.

I’m not very much into mixed drinks, but there seem to be a good variety with hard to find tequilas. However, they also have Australian beers (little creatures and lashes, can’t remember the rest). Any ale is good for a town that is overflowing with lagers.

The feel and aura of the place is loud and alive: it is bursting with flavors, colors, music, alcohol and happy people.

The price is actually on the more expensive side, but I can understand why. Lots of small dishes and exotic ingredients. Expect to pay MNT 100k per person, including drinks, to be fully stuffed. But if you like food, you’re not going to miss that money.

Cliff and Zaya are also into quality control. So many restaurants in this town start good and stay good for only a few months. So the best part about the place is that you can expect to have the same type of food and service 3 years from now as you did yesterday.

A very welcome addition to this town.

This is one of the first places to go when craving Mexican food.

Best taco in town! Highly recommend all the tacos and the smoked beef tongue. Only thing that would make all the tacos absolutely perfect is if they made the taco fillings less juicy - taco shell gets easily ripped and it overall tasted a bit watered down.

Delicious!! Love the Spicy pork tacos!!!! And the margaritas hit the spot. The chicken tacos and thr squash tacos are refreshing and tasty as well.

It opens at 17:30.
The most of tables have been occupied at 17:45.
The VIP room is only available for reservation.

Great food. Always packed, so come shortly after opening to secure table. Must try the desserts.

Good service, fun vibes/decor, but all 5 stars for this beautiful tuna ceviche.
The black bean sauce on top had the perfect kick.

A visit to La Rosa is always in order. This place is simply amazing, from the food to the drinks and the atmosphere, all served up with genuine enthusiasm and authenticity from the outstanding staff. UB's only Mexican/Spanish tapas restaurant is, like Rosewood's Market, Butchery and Kitchen, that place that we had no idea we were missing and already has us wondering how we would ever live without! I won't call out any specific tapas plate, just work your way through the menu, it's all super delicious. Spend some time at the bar, as it's arguably the most beautiful one in the whole city and they're serving up some really new and unique tequila and mezcal cocktails. The owners have really poured their hearts and souls into this place and it shows in every detail.

my fav resto. very good food & service. line up in the middle of rain because it open 5.30 sharp. we came 5 minutes early, enough time for getting shoes wet 😄

A funny thing was that it seems that faucet handles in the bathroom were stolen, so you have to use small screws exposed from faucet bodies with your fingers in order to turn them on and off.

Great service and tacos. Square potatoes is amazing

They have a pool table and meals are pretty good. I had a burrito and it was delicious, staff speak decent english.

Went there for a dinner date. Sat at the outside table. Loved it. Loved the food, especially enjoyed the hot tappas. Tried many different cocktails-lived it too! I really liked it when they gave us warm blankets when it got lil chill outside.

Better Mexican inspired food than any place I tried in Australia. Really lucky to have this in UB, things like mescal and handmade tortillas are a real treat.
