Rangoon Tea House Golden Valley

Very beautiful restaurant. Pricier than most other places in Yangon - but it’s worth it. And it’s also more visited by expats than locals, which is also due to its location.

The dishes are very Asian-Western fusion. They serve some Burmese classics like tea leave salad and Shan noodles (great!). But also Dim Sum, tacos and Indian dishes.

The service and atmosphere are both great. Perfect for Yangon/Myanmar Newbies.

I give the 10 points for the food, absolutely good and the prices are reasonable. I recommended eating tea leaf salad, It's the best I have ever tasted.

Food is so good here… Lunch time is many people and should go early or after 1:30pm. Tea is very popular in this restaurant. Recommend 😍😍😍

Good location – located in Bahan township, this is the go to place if you want to host friends and colleagues for a good time, the food menu is good, the biriyani is lovely, the coco tea is a personal favourite, the ambience is clam, the staff is very hospitable and the overall experience is blissful.

The best briyani! Both the mutton and chicken briyani taste awesome! I cannot stop thinking of it the next day. 🤭
The other dishes are delicious too. One of my best memories in Yangon! Must try!

Update : additions to the menu, higher end higher price. The higher end stuff is pretty good.

Update : upstairs bar is now constructed and nobody stopped me from going up. Cigar and whiskey on couch should be a dream here.

The restaurant building is a newly built structure out of antique wood, using traditional methods. The cost must have been staggering. The beauty of place is breathtaking and every furniture there is an antique.

If you're lucky enough to get upstairs, the beauty of old Myanmar, with persian carpets lining the wooden floor, makes this the most emotional restaurant I have even been in asia.

The food is not the menu of Pansodan RTH which I love and was one of the first reviewers there, however, it is very good in itself, and I must relearn it.

So now there are 2 go to restaurants in Yangon, both of the Rangoon Tea houses. Kudos to the owner, and the seemingly unlimited creativity spent on this project.

To date, I'm most impressed here.

Had varieties of cuisines for brunch, with exceptional taste. Table service were spot on, despite we had to sit on stairs area due to crowded Sunday. Have many parking spots around compounds which is a must for me if I want to dine in. With MMK 87,000 in bill total, I would say, price speaks for itself.

Overall, would definitely come back, 4.7/5.

Had a meeting with Partner here. The food and services are highly recommended. The lamb shank Briyani was awesome. Was truly taken a back with the taste and authenticity. Again a must try in Myanmar

The decoration and design are really good for photography and these makes me feel nostalgic. It's like I'm visiting my grandparent's place when I was young. There's a parking lot, however, during the peak hour, you might have to park outside. As it's at the junction, you might want to take extra care parking outside. The service and food quality are amazing as usual. I prefer this place to Pansodan branch as it's more spacious. Love the vibe and food!

Nice place to chill with your friends and family. They have varieties of menu and I highly recommend if you prefer a good food. I will go there again.

Nice classical setting and good foods can be found here. There’s a variety of breakfast noodles, biryani rice set, rice with onsen egg, and many choices of local milk tea up for selection. During weekend morning, it could get very crowded that the service attendant may not attend to you promptly. Price is on the high side but is justifiable for its ambience and food choices. For better dining experience, I’d suggest to avoid weekend peak hour.

Nice authentic ambience, good food, good drinks. I ordered Egg Noodle Su Kyat. Loved it! Totally recommend

The atmosphere in here is very unique, comfortable and attractive.

The food is definitely delicious and special of Myanmar. They also offer so many choices of foods and drink and Myanmar tea.

I will surely come here again all my ways from Cambodia.

Just amazing. The building (materials and architecture) is very cool. Decor is beautiful. And of course the food is spectacular in my opinion. It’s a must visit when in Yangon.

The famous RTH in new place. Miss the old RTH in Pansodan. Huge two storey building with good foods and good vibe.
They upgraded their menus regularly. Now offering Shan noodles, Tapas and much more.
Also, now there is a jazz band playing Every Tuesdays and Fridays from 6-9pm.

Tuesday Jazz night was amazing.
Service and dishes are super nice as always. Happy hour drinks for weekdays till 7PM. Better make reservation before you go as the upstair seats are still under renovation.
