Yangon International Airport

Very clean and quiet. Immigration team is so friendly and happy to support you. There are many shops closed because of political event.
You can pick something traditional from some souvenir shops. However, price is higher than buying from market (such as: you need to pay 50$ for a shawl while if you buy it from Boyoke Market, it is 45,000 -60,000 kyats - remember that shops inside Boyoke is cheaper than shops outside).

I can't speak English, but the staff and people concerned at this airport treated me politely and kindly.

I've been to airports in many countries in the past, and Yangon International Airport is the first best.

Spacious & clean airport. Staff and custom are efficient to get things going. Arrived couple days ago from international terminal. Having few other upcoming domestic flights. Nothing negative like having attitude with the custom, unlike in many other countries. That's a bonus point. Facilities and surrounding area decently maintained.

If exchange currency at airport, get some when see one. Once inside after the custom, no more chance available. USD is still the preferred currency for exchange convenience.

Lots of washroom along the way, with staff on duty keeping it clean frequently. Toilet paper available. No funny smell, no more filthy washroom stories like heard of three to even ten years ago.

Been told beware of taxi driver too aggressively ‘help’ taking your luggage & tell you go to their cab. That was few years ago and have been improved from the airport environment. Do have an agreement of the price beforehand. Yet overall they're fine and just want to have business.

Few shops & cafe there to spend some time while waiting to board. Overall very good experience.

Comparing the old airport and this new one, I would give 5 stars for this. A world class airport with all the necessary facilities. Very convinient from check in to clearing immigration to boarding. The immigration is well developed with latest technology. Staff is professional. A reasonable collection of duty free shops. Also have a few restaurants including burger king.

Prices seems bit more than other major cities. However, its new all new! Every single staff members are friendly. Wifi works well.
Use UBER. taxis charge too much. Enjoy! If u have any questions, feel free to ask! We stayed here for over 2 months.

Surprisingly modern, comfortable and efficient airport serving Yangon. Currency exchange has reasonable rates, immigration is fast both upon arrival and at departure, and queues are very quick. There are 4 different ATMs at baggage claim, though word to the wise my Canadian card didn't work on any of them for some reason, so I had to exchange some emergency cash at the currency exchange instead. Many cabs to go into the city but for the best rates and safest experience, if you have cell data, use Grab, which is usually around 7,000 kyats into the city at the time of writing.

I found the Yangon international airport quite decent and good one. Compared to the profile of the country and pace of development I found the airport ahead of rhe curve. It have almost everything in terms of ur shopping , eating, drinking and relaxing requirements.

A new and modern airport, everything here is new, not so many flight brands here!

The immigration helped us out over an issue with my friend’s VISA status. She was asked to go back to Bangkok but fortunately they gave us another solution. It was if we know a Burmese national with a business. I was planning to meet my friend who owns a business and luckily I thought of her. They were very patient.

As for the airport’s facade, it’s okay.

Public toilets should be more clean and convenient for visitors’ accessible

Big facility with small number of passengers, meaning services are great. People are helpful especially to foreigner

Yangon International Airport's New terminals are very swanky. On par with any airport in the region. Congratulations!

Available the Airport bus to City of Yangon (Sule station). Need around 40 minutes to reaching the sule bus station. The price for one trip is 500 kyat/ Rp. 4.800an

It's a small and Classy Airport in Myanmar. Verryy well organized and not so crowded

The airport is clean and comfortable. However, there are not many stores.

I would like to give a five star to this airport, it is new with very neat and clean toilets, the immigration and security checks were quick and well organised. The souvernier shops are unique with very good collections of artifacts. There is no free Wifi at this airport.

Travel here many times. Nice space and always keep clean. Good agents and fast service for immigration process (Not much line for foreigner) Not much shops.

A nice and well-managed airport that is small by international standards. Friendly immigration staff. As of May 2023, you will need to submit a number of health documents to officials at a separate counter just before you get your passport stamped. (1) vaccination cert or negative PCR test, (2) proof that you have coverage from Myanmar health insurance, (3) health declaration form/arrivals form - 2 documents which you will get on the plane.

SIM card is available just outside arrivals. To get to town, go to the Grabtaxi counter just outside the arrivals hall. Tell the counter staff where you are going, they will give you a price, call the taxi for you, and lead you all the way to your taxi door. My ride to Downtown Yangon cost 17,100 ks, which is extremely reasonable. You pay the taxi driver directly upon alighting.

FYI- there’s not much shopping available at the airport. A lot of the shops still appear closed.

It’s quite fast to pass immigration check and get luggage.There are money exchange offices at arrival hall.I suggest you look around more shops then change your money.Taxi service is nice,you may negotiate the price with driver.We spend 25 dollars to hire a 4 hours service in downtown.
