My excursion to Kyaik Htee Yoe Pagoda was an awe-inspiring journey into Myanmar's spiritual and natural beauty. Here are some tips for your visit:

Transportation: Reach Kyaiktiyo, Myanmar, by bus or car from Yangon. From the base camp, take a shared truck or hike to the pagoda. It's a challenging uphill climb.

Cost: There's an entrance fee to access the pagoda area. Consider making a donation at the pagoda for its upkeep.

Attire: Dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees. Be prepared for cooler temperatures at higher elevations.

Accommodation: Limited lodging options are available near the pagoda. Book in advance if you plan to stay overnight.

Food: Enjoy local cuisine at nearby stalls and restaurants. Try the Burmese tea leaf salad.

Timing: Visit during sunrise or sunset for a stunning view of the golden rock, but be prepared for crowds.

Kyaik Htee Yoe Pagoda is a place of profound reverence and natural beauty. Respect local customs, and you'll have a memorable experience at this remarkable site.

The Radiant Buddhists Pilgrimage Site of Golden Rocks is one of the top sights in Burma. Visible from afar in a beautiful landscape and shimmering in the sun, the Golden Rock of Myanmar is one of the most famous sights in the whole country and seems to successfully defy gravity. The ride with trucks to the top is not for the faint of heart. It's an adventure in itself, like a roller coaster ride. You sit on narrow beams on the loading area, tightly packed like in sardinescin a can, and you get shaken around, desperately trying to hold on.

The rock, which is actually granite, is covered all over with gold leaf, which is always applied by male pilgrims, because only men are allowed to cross the narrow walkway to touch the rock or apply gold leafs. According to legend the mighty rock balances on the hair of Buddha and therefore never falls.

Golden Rock is the third most important pilgrimage destination for local Buddhists and is most definitely worth a visit.

It is a very famous pagoda of Myanmar and almost everyone knows this place.
This place surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery.
I just visited this place three four days back it's very very cold at night. I went there without taking any warm clothes so I had very very bad but still nice experience.
Bad for my body but nice for my brain. It's so peaceful and refreshing. The pagoda is not very crowded now. You must not the morning hours. It's so peaceful to say prayers and meditate. And also very very good to take beautiful photos.

One of the best highlights in Yangon.
This pagoda is located on peak of mountain with brilliant landscapes and about 3 hours driving from Yangon. It could take you whole day tour to visit.
The transfer is one of the most lovely experience of the tour. When the car arrived the village and parked. We would take the cargo truck to go on top. It is absolutely dangerous with whom scaring the height and speed.

The trail to come up is not only wide enough for two way car but also very sloped and zigzagging with many elbows triangle. All the driver should be very professional and brave, because just a small mistake, the truck with more than 20 people on it would be flying with out wings.

Instead of that, the pagoda is very beautiful and spacious with opened and fresh air. The granite tile floor for thousands meters square is very cool in shadow even in a very strong sunny day.

It is truly a proof of intelligence of human to build a very huge construction in a very such dangerous and high location.

Highly recommended explorers for new experience.

A very interesting place to explore how the physics doesn't exist and Laws are ignored. The boulder carrying the pagoda doesn't rest on the base where there's a gap about a centimeter very visible to any human eyes. A place to explore how supernatural exists in this world supported by religious powers.

Golden Rock Pagoda is one of the wonder and most interesting pagoda in Myanmar. The views are so simple, natural and fresh. The historical background is different with other places. Lots of Pilgrims and local people visit it.

Morning and early evening are the best time to visit. The views will take your breath away.

Beautiful place. And the weather was so cold and nice. The pagoda was amazing! The truck ride up the mountain was Adventurous. We have to be barefoot on top. Wasn't much of a problem but the tiles were sticky and some places were dirty.

Must visit. Journey up to mountain top before reaching Golden Rock is fun, feels
Like roller coaster. About 30 min up the mountain, you have to squeeze with the locals. Golden Rock is located right at the end of the walk. Nice panorama view. Go during sunset. Will think afternoon is too hot.
