That Bin Nyu Temple

Thatbyinnyu Temple or Sabbannu (သဗ္ဗညု ဘုရား) is the tallest temple in Bagan in the height of 61m, located in the archaeological zone that had been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019

The temple was built in 1144 in King Sithu I reign and was badly damage by 1975 and 2016 earthquake. The temple has an ongoing restoration, the main shrines located on the upper terrace was closed and not allow visitors to visit

I went there early in the morning and the sheer size of the pagoda amazed me. You could get a better view from the sides. The area was clean and not crowded.

One of the famous pagoda in the Bagan. Among of too many pagoda in Bagan, That Bin Nyu Temple also very famous pagoda. We had been at monsoon season, all of plants are green and very matching with pagoda and very beautiful. For the young people, one of the Instagram spots and a lot of places to shoot photos for the social media postings. Most of the kids are assist to shoot photos and explained about respective pagoda history. That's good and their English Speaking skills are not bad. It can guess they got well trained for the English Speaking and to explain about pagoda history.

Oh! It is great and graceful. It was one of the famous pagodas in Myanmar which was built at the age of Bagan! It's worth visiting!

Make sure you don’t miss this one. It’s more impressive on the outside than inside, it looks like it’s closed since 3 of the main entrances are locked with bars but you can still get inside and go all the the way around.

Thatbyinnyu means The Buddha's incomparable wisdom which can know everything. It was built bt King Alaungsithu in AD 1144. 201-feet-high Thatbyinnyu temple is the highest in Bagan.

Is beautiful, u can find too much local people, u can not climb up, only the first floor is opened.
