Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort

This hotel has one of the most exquisite sun sets that one can see. The restaurant, bar, and the deck overlooks Irrawady river with a Pagoda on a hill on the opposite bank of Irrawady. When the sun sets, the whole view lights up brilliantly and lasts a while. The food and and hospitality are excellent.

The rooms are okay. I took one overlooking a 13th century ancient Pagoda. The experience looking at it, sitting from the room's porch reading a book, is sublime.

The staff are very helpful - at the reception and the restaurant. Win Pa Pa Aung and others in the front desk helped with booking hot air ballooning, electric bikes, bus booking, advising what to see, local restaurants, etc.

Stayed here for 3 nights in 2017 as I explored Bagan. What an outstanding resort with amazing service and food. Evenings best spent watching the sun go down on the Irrawady as you swim in the giant pools next to the main restaurant. Great proximity to the temples, especially if you want a sunset or sunrise photo shoot.

We stayed here for four fantastic nights while we explored the temples of Bagan. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The pool area is great with a large area to relax while enjoying the huge swimming pool.
The food was simply delicious as was the fresh juices. They have their own organic vegetable garden supplying the restaurant with clean healthy veggies and fruit. I managed to have a deep tissue oil massage which was just what I needed after a big day exploring the temples. The staff were so helpful and friendly.

It is an awesome resort for families to stay in old bagan. Very friendly staff, very friendly environment, breakfast is great with widespread options (including vegetarian), location is good for visiting the pagodas in Bagan. Beat part is sunset from this resort is just amazing. Very quiet and peaceful. Open space for kids to run around. Rooms are huge 58 square meter for deluxe room was just too big. Overall a pleasant experience! Will definitely recommend this place.

We went in off season and got a great deal... The grounds are beautiful, the pool area is stunning and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant is slightly over priced and there are no other restaurant closer than 25 minutes walk. That said, it's hard to beat the location as you can walk to a number of temples from the resort.

Pretty expensive by Bagan standards, but beautiful resort with great service. Many pagodas are within walking distance and you can access the entire area with available rental ebikes. The gorgeous pool deck is on the river and a favorite spot to catch sunsets.

River view suite is large with bath tub and sinks for two. Paronamic sunset view sparing large area of free open space is now rare in Bagan.

We were there with 12 local friends.
Hotel, pool, rooms and all facilities are really good. Stuff are always helpful and friendly.
But breakfast and pizza needs improvements.
Breakfast has limited varieties for international customer.
Pizza dough looks like keep in freeze.
Hotel 5 stars for me.

Great resort with the best pool in Bagan. Breakfast is fantastic with many options. Good location, close to the pagodas and temples. Very friendly and helpful staff-they allow us to check in at 7am when we arrived.

Pool time perfection at this hotel - the views are stunning and the accomodation is lovely. Breakfast is also exquisite- Indian potato curry for the win!

Gift shop and restaurant are a little overpriced though.

We stayed in this resort just one night and felt very happy . We can see the river view from our room and the room is little small but nice had bathtubs and place for relax . It felt like staying in a garden .

There is a different price for locals and foreigners . It is expensive place , the sovenier price is very very high .

Reasonable price resort to stay in Bagan, it's a peaceful place and near by many signagicant places to visit.

Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort- beautiful hotel with the early morning birds singing, fresh air and virgin nature near the Lake. It's located in the Old Bagan and you can get their on a horse-drawn carriage. Also I had one of the most pleasant SPA experiences in this hotel.

Excellent resort with beautiful views and service. But need to change from one-way to two-way air conditioner. It's very cold at night. I can't sleep well.

Very nice resort with great view of the Irrawaddy River. Staff was very attentive to our needs as guests.

The place is nice...Follow the standards by the health authority.Room service was good breakfast meals were excellent.Quiet and calm.

The scenery is very beautiful and the staff are kind

Not the best accommodations,(bit outdated but clean) but nothing beats the sunset views. Really enjoyed stay here.

Great location since it's central to both Old and New Bagan. Easy access to many of the pagodas, and local restaurants
