Amata Garden Resort, Bagan

Amata Garden Resort honestly has it so right. The rooms are super comfortable, service fantastic and friendly and the pool is better than it looks in pictures. Very clean and inviting and such a large, beautiful pool. No request was too much trouble here with the hotel organising us great rates on e-bikes and transfers which is rare that the prices were better than we could find outside. Breakfast is good, not amazing but the food is tasty. The room is styled beautifully - a few small things like paint splatters and edging could have been done better but we found the room both functional and super comfy. We loved our three nights here and couldn’t recommend it more highly - the staff aim to please and are genuinely lovely. We hope to return one day!

The room was very clean, the food was good, the pool was lovely, the massages were great, and everyone was very nice and welcoming. But the highlight of the hotel was definitely the manager. We had a very unfortunate incident outside of the hotel and informed the staff when we returned that night. We got a call to our room not long after saying that the manager would like to speak with us. She was very understanding and helped us resolve the issue from beginning to end. Honestly, it really wasn't her responsibility and we wouldn't blame her if she didn't help us at all. She went above and beyond to help us and make sure that we would have a pleasant stay. She event arranged a little birthday surprise in our room for me as it was my birthday the next day. My husband and I were beyond touched that they would care this much and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Bagan.

Went here for some night snacks and drinks in the lovely atmosphere of this resort. The snacks were delicious and the staff is very professional, attentive and friendly.
Especially the owner is very friendly, helpful and hospitable.
I regret we never tried any of their main dishes but when I come back to Bagan that’s on my bucket list. Can definitely recommend.

Located on the banks of beautiful Inle Lake, the resort is in a class of its own. Buildings are tastefully adorned with artworks and both indoor and outdoor areas are designed for comfort and relaxation. The restaurant is spacious and classy. Service is excellent.

Beautiful hotel, away from the main town. If you're coming to Inle Lake to relax and enjoy the serenity you won't be disappointed. If you'd rather have the bustle of a busy town you should look elsewhere, though. The only easily accessible village is Nampan, which has a good local restaurant serving simple food and a market (which hosts the 5 day market).

Staff were really friendly and spoke good English, and the breakfast each morning was fantastic. We had a great stay!

Coming from travels through more than 40 countries in a row now, we have visited some places over the last years, but this Amata Garden Resort made our days here absolutely amazing!

We stayed here for 4 nights and spontaneously extended, because it was so calm, neat, comfortable and the staff was extraordinarily kind and foreseeing! The food was good and the view when lying at the pool and looking over the lake is just amazing! Definitely take the garden villa, as it will make your stay turn into a dream and feeling of luxury you will rarely experience. Very recommended for honeymooners as well.

Amazing hotel on the shore of lake Inle. Beautiful rooms, nice and clean. Attentive staff, friendly service, good bar. There are two pools, one of them facing the lake. Really recommended.

Beautiful and tastefully designed hotel. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable, good breakfast and great pool. Location is just on the edge of new Bagan so it's at least a 12 minute walk to the town centre (if you can really call it a town centre). The only complaint is that they tried to overcharge us for things we asked them to help us arrange... For example, when we asked them about renting e bikes they said it would be 10,000 mmk a day when the place right outside charged 5,000 for exactly the same bikes. Same for getting a tuk tuk where the price they quoted was 17,000 but when we asked one directly outside the hotel the price was 7,000. I can accept a small markup for the convenience of the hotel organising things, but more than double is clearly taking the p***. Apart from that the staff were friendly and helpful!

Great stay. The staff were so kind. Really made it special. It was our honeymoon and we returned from a wonderful day of exploring to find the most beautiful hand made cake. Thank you!!!
