Karibo Hotel

Did a stop over on our way between Kirindy and Tsingy. Both times the food was fresh and delicious. Especially the BBQ shrimp with grilled vegetables was a sure winner. Clean toilets and friendly service, make this a really good stop.

You can call ahead of time and place your order so that it's ready by the time you arrive.

I absolutely LOVED the food and service here! And ask for Raza, fun, sweet and a great sport too! Some of the best Malagasy food I ate on my trip. We had the gambas tails, Malagasy chicken, Zebu steak and the red fish and none of those dishes disappointed! Also loved the bananas cooked in ginger and honey. Amazing spot!

If you are looking for cold beer and good food welcome to Karibo (funny enough in Swahilli - Karibu is welcome) 40%European 60%Magalagy , fresh air, cool people, nice presentation of plates and well cooked. Flavors put together combined with good vibes and mix of languages on the move. No idea about the hotel but restaurant is very good, find Raza there a 19yr old guy that will treat you like a king. All the best, enjoy your trip. Pts... Ask for banana and ginger as a dessert ;)

Great hotel and beautiful view but no lions,zebras,hippos,giraffe and penguins though.

Paramos aquí en la ida y en la vuelta de Beokopaka. En la ida el zebú y a la vuelta pollo. El zebú riquísimo, el pollo regulero. Es bastante caro para lo que es Madagascar, pero es lo que tiene, tampoco te arruinas y se agradece comer algo más elaborado.

Stayed here for one night on the way through but got to spend time enjoying the town.

The rooms are clean and well kept. the beer is cold and the food is delicious. What else do you need to know.

The staff and managers are helpful and accommodating, giving advise and instructions about the local area.

Nice stop in Belu Tsiribihina. Had a good Zebu steak frites. Not quite as sophisticated as the Mad Zebu, but good nonetheless. Toilets very clean, but lacking seats.

Paramos aquí porque habíamos leído que no tiene mucho que envidiar al Mad Zebú. Es cierto.
👍 Brocheta de Zebú, la carne estaba muy tierna. Brocheta de gamba Jumbo. Las patatas fritas que acompañaban al Zebú estaban muy ricas, sabrosas y blandas por dentro y bien hechas por fuera.
👎 El arroz de acompañamiento a las gambas estaba SÚPER pasado, era una pasta muy poco apetecible ( no deberían atreverse a servir eso a nadie) pero pedimos que nos lo cambiasen por las patatas y lo hicieron sin problema.
La ensalada de tomate muy normal, nada del otro mundo...no la recomendamos.

Hemos leído que algunas personas dicen que sus conductores les llevan ahí. Nuestro conductor nos ha explicado que allí a los conductores les dejan elegir entre varios platos pero que la comida no está especialmente buena. En el Mad Zebú también dan de comer a los conductores pero una cantidad muy pequeña.
Para nosotros la única diferencia entre el Karibo y el Mad Zebú es el postureo y la decoración de los platos del Mad Zebú. Ambos son los sitios más caros en los que hemos comido en todo Madagascar, y no los mejores en calidad.

Hotel situado en un punto estratégico para ir a tsingy, tiene buen wifi y la comida es muy buena aunque cara comparada con el resto de sitios, la calidad se paga, y poca cantidad, es una cocina moderna, en cuanto a la habitación las camas eran cómodas algo que no se ve todos los días en Madagascar. Para una noche está bien.
