293 on Komba Guest lodge

This is a little piece of paradise, the 4 rooms are very comfortable and Marcine is an excellent host. Snorkelling with turtles, getting to know the lemurs on the island, touring forests finding interesting animals, drinking sundowners at the oceans edge. These are some examples of the awesome activities you can do during your stay. Would highly recommend.

PURE PARADISE is at this charming guest house with only 4 rooms. If you want heaven on earth for a few days or longer, this is the place. Such a cozy and beautiful slice of Natural Beauty every where you turn. My stay was prefect for relaxing after a 19 day tour around the Island. Just hanging out, reading my book with Mango trees abound and or going to the village, where you can visit the daily village life of the people or a fun and interactive Lemur Park, and buying beautiful embroidered table clothes from the locals, there was always things to do...the highlight was swimming with the Whale Sharks and the giant green sea turtles what a treat! My room was so cozy and clean with attention to all details including the perfect fan placements, it's the little things that our hostess Marcine provided at her guest home. She is an AWESOME person, it's just beautiful what she created at her place, with great food and PERFECT RUM COCKTAILS...I feel so fortunate and privileged to be amongst her lucky guests.

This is definitely the best location to explore Nosy Komba and the surroundings , whilst being pampered from start to finish by Marcine and her local staff. The attention to detail in all areas is amazing, especially considering that you are on a remote island. The accommodation, the stunning cocktails and variety and quality of freshly prepared meals are just perfect. Authenticity with all the comforts of home ....and so much more.

Writing this review is tough. I want to keep this magical place a secret, but at the same time I wish someone had shared it with me earlier. We spent 4 magical nights with Marcine and her Malagasy staff. It was incredible. Trips were easy to arrange, food was amazing, and the lemurs and sea life were a true delight. Do yourself a favour and visit this untouched piece of paradise. We are already planning out trip back!

First off all there is not enough I can say to express my gratitude to Marvin Cooper for being such a lovely and professional host. She and her team made our stay on Komba a memory that we will never forget. Seen big parts of this beautiful planet and we have met a lot of people but our stay at Miss Cooper’s was just …..without words.
Lovely village and nice people. Transfers great. The coffee and tea in the morning and afternoon with miss Cooper and the just incredible dinners together were off a very (very!) high standard.
I can only say that I personally recommend a stay here!
Ps: on a personal note, dank je wel mevrouw Cooper u bent een heel bijzondere dame waar ik veel respect voor heb en uw inzet is lovenswaardig. H&R

Best accommodation in my month long tour of Madagascar.

I cannot wait to go back. Marcine's place is top notch. Beautiful location on the beach in Nosy Komba. The common area and bedrooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. I felt like I was at home for my 5 night stay. Breakfast and dinner are included in the rate, which is insane, because the food is 5 star; it's the quality and presentation you would receive at an expensive restaurant. Best meals I had in Madagascar. Marcine and her staff are very welcoming, helpful, and a pleasure to spend time with. Marcine is an amazing host. She'll plan all your excursions, massages, and transfers. She takes care of everything. Another plus, Marcine speaks English. I rarely rave about the places I stay, but Marcine's is truly a wonderful experience. You can spend all day lounging about the property, looking at the ocean, or take part in various excursions around the islands. My 5 nights flew by because I enjoyed them so much. I rarely visit the same place twice, as I enjoy new experiences... But I have to say, Marcine and her guest house is a destination that I cannot wait to get back to.

Her place is a peace of heaven. Really really clean. The view from our room was amazing.
We enjoyed sharing every night our dinner with her and the other guest. It makes that place really friendly. The food provided was healthy and good. We also enjoyed the tea time.

I would definitely recommend a stay at 293 on Komba Guest Lodge. You feel like you are in paradise. The views, the vibes, the service from the lovely staff, the helpfull host and the food are making the experience complete.

A wonderful destination to relax, unwind and peacefully enjoy the natural rhythms of the island. The lodge was wonderful, the staff were fantastic and the location simply beautiful!

What an amazing experience. From when Josara fetches you at the port, to Zet's amazing Caparinah's and then the delicious food. True Malagasian experience from when you arrive. The village is an absolute must, the community is one of the most friendly people I have met. You always feel safe, even as a solo female traveller. Marcine is an absolute star and ensures your comfort continously. You will not go wrong to come to 293 on Komba.

We spent 10 days in September 2022 at Marcine’s lovely guest house for our honeymoon. We couldn’t have chosen a better place - everything was just perfect. The room was ultra clean, food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Marcine knows how to make you feel comfortable and special. The guest house itself has a great view with several lounges to chill. We were served a colorful breakfast, tea with snacks and a 3 course dinner everyday. We highly recommend!

You can expect to enjoy the hustle and bustle of a visit to one of the vibrant towns of Nosy Be, and moment to enjoy guided snorkeling or forest walks to explore the local plants and animals.

My daughter and myself had a woncerful stay at 293 on Komba from our welcome until we said goodbye. We had already spent 4 weeks travelling around Madagascar so there was not much left to do but relax in the many different spaces available each with their own view. My relaxation was punctuated with delicious food, walks to the village for lunch or viewing village craft. We snorkelled and although the reef is struggling at Nosy Komba there are still some patches with varieties of coral and fish. We took out the crystal clear kayaks onto crystal clear water on a perfect Madagascar winter day. Its true - you can see the bottom 100% perfectly. We saw many turtles swimming by. Tanikely is really close whic had the best snorkelling I did while in Madagascar. Lokobe Reserve is also close by and convenient for a visit.

Paradise on earth. Incredible venue, amazing hostess, exceptional staff. Well appointed - and the cuisine was top notch. Very private and far from the maddening crowds. I will return.

We spent four nights at 293 on Komba as part of our 4 weeks trip around Madagascar and we couldn't be happier about our experience. Marcine put us in the Lemur room, with stunning views of the sea and a comfortable access to the restaurant. The room has everything you need and they take attention to detail. The dinners were stunning, probably the best we had in our stay in Madagascar, carefully cooked and incredibly well hosted. The atmosphere is relaxing and laid back and the location is the best you can imagine, close to the best beach of the island and just 10 minutes away from the village centre and the Lemur Park. Marcine prepared for us also a very nice Malagasy music performance, which we really enjoyed, helped us to prepare some excursions to the islands nearby, despite the difficulties to find options and also arranged all needed for our return through Nosy Be. We would recommend to anyone and we will surely repeat.
