Old city wall

The outer city wall gives you an idea on how BIG the medina of Fez is. No surprise it is the biggest Medina in the world. There is a small entry in the wall that you can take to get to the other side (the side of la Medina). From there, you have an incredible panoramic view of la Medina. You can also climb the wall by the stairs to but you should be extra careful because it is a bit risky.

Great location for views. And you can clim up on the walls.

A bit dangerous but well worth exploring for the shots. Go round via the left and then under the little tunnel at the back. There are stairs then in the corner.

Tiene un guardián. El guardián del muro de Fez es un hombre anciano que te pide limosna por acercarte al muro sin avisarte antes. Si no le pagas la cosa se pone violenta, suele ser respaldado por un hombre joven y fornido que le defiende y ensalza sus hazañas como guardián del muro, lo protege de los males del mundo permaneciendo sentado sobre una piedra a la entrada durante todo el día.

Nos sacaron 4€.

De igual manera las vistas merecen la pena.

If you climb the walls you will have a really nice view over the City and the Mountains. Really enyoied it. However, there was a guy with a Dog up there who asked for money for "security" which seems a bit weird to me...

歴史を感じる壁です。壁の上からはFez旧市街を見渡す素敵な光景を楽しめます。

ただしこの壁には頼んでもないのに説明をしてくるおじいさんがいます。そして予想通りお金を要求しています。階段で壁に登ると逃げ道がなくなります。10DH失っただけですがこのスポットの思い出は残念なものになりました。

Je suis arrivé sur cette muraille un peu par hasard en cherchant à aller aux 'Marinid Tombs' depuis la médina par la porte 'Bab Gissa'. J'étais complètement perdu... Le lieu est un peu abandonné, et le fait que je n'aie croisé personne donne une impression un peu inquiétante. Cependant, la muraille reste impressionnante. Une visite avec un guide pourrait être réellement intéressante pour mieux comprendre cet endroit.
