Riad Kasbah Oliver

Very nice guesthouse with great views and beautiful hikes in the valley. Last 5km of access road are unpaved! Walk or call them for pickup, unless driving a 4*4. Good English by email and in person.

A great location to enjoy hikes in Atlas mountains. My favorite is extremely long day hike to the top of Anghomar (3610m), but there are many shorter walks for different level of fitness. The Kasbah is located in the very peaceful place at the end of Ounila valley, 5 km from the paved road. The night sky is fantastic. Still it is easily accessible from Ourzazante. The local taxi can bring you until Kasbah proper over dirt track. The travel time from Ouarzazate is about 1 hour and we paid 300 dh. The cheaper option is to get public transport until the end of paved road.
The kasbah is very well made and provides European level of comfort. Rooms are beautifuly decorated in Berber style and very tidy. We had a room with ensuite hot shower (the water is heated in electric tank) and we had a good water pressure and the running hot water available day and night.
The owners were very nice and helpful. They are heavily involved in various humanitarian projects to help local community and if you are interested in the life of remote Berber community you can get a lot of info from them. You also get 3 meals a day at Kasbah. The traditional Berber fares - tajin, couscous. Food is good and plentiful. Overall really great place to enjoy mountains in comfort.

Nous sommes venus en août et nous avons été très bien accueilli et mention spécial au propriétaire qui était au petit soin après notre périple sur la route sinueuse qui était original pour nous et que nous avons fortement apprécié. Je suis de tout cœur avec vous. Vous aviez un endroit magnifique

Nous avons passé notre première nuit au Maroc dans la kasbah Oliver et avons été accueillis comme des rois. Alors effectivement l'accès n'est pas facile, nous avons appelé pour savoir si une chambre était libre et il nous a été demandé si nous avions un 4x4, sinon ils venaient nous chercher. La route est sinueuse mais les paysages magnifiques donc ça passe vite. Nous avons bien mangé et apprécié les lieux et le personnel, on recommande sans hésiter !

Riad magnifique, belle chambre, propriétaire engagé dans sa région natale! Beau projet! Un endroit où il fait bon s'arrêter pour réaliser un trek!

Il a une magnifique lieu

Great location. Quite a walk 80 mind rough road uphill, and a minibus doe not get there. No WiFi but not expecting it. Rooms vary in size. Breakfast was dicey, running out of key components. There is a hammam iclose by but not working. I think there are better alternatives.
