Very professional staff. the consulate looks neat there are plenty of security and it is well surrounded by police presence. I went to the old consulate back in 1999 to obtain my student visa, the consular officer was very friendly and after a few questions he approved my student visa. Great experience

I had a good experience today, even my visa doesn't approved because I don't have stable work for now, for that they think I won't going back after my period tourist, but I understand them, no one can see what we have in our brains. So yeah
It's OK, I'll apply other time later.
Anyway, all the persons working there, are very friendly and treated me with respectful way.
So I appreciate that SO MUCH.

Just went to renew our son's passport and the process was very streamlined and painless. There was a lot of security but it was reassuring knowing that they were trying to keep our consulate and State Dept workers safe.

They were very professional and as a US Citizen, it was the 1st time I felt welcome and comfortable in an embassy. The service was efficient and they answered all questions and my passport was renewed within the time frame they gave me.

Security is top priority.. agents are respectful, professional, and efficient.
My business was taken care fast and in a courteous manner.

This past week i had an issue getting a passport for my son. After filing and paing i receive a call that my petition was REJECTED. I asked to speak to thd vice consul. They gave me an appointment next day. I met up with him and had a fit about what had occurred. I was almost yelling and upset. That guy was so chill and understanding I almost cried! HE WAS SO UNDERSTANDING AND HELPFUL promised to help me and he did! Thanks to him the passport was issued with no further problems. God bless AMERICA

It's a nice place with nice people working there but lately they're not answering emails and nothing is getting done.

Helpful hint as an American you can let the guards outside the embassy know you are there for American services and they let you in faster instead of waiting in the neverending line. The people that work there are very nice and helpful .

Fyi plan for several layers of security before you can talk with anyone inside. Due to having a backpack full of camera gear and a laptop, I had to get special permission to even get to security checkpoint 2. All in all it took 15-20 to get through.

They're super sensitive about:
* Liquids/gels. They refused to let a woman bring in hand sanitizer or hand cream. Nearly took my chapstick!
* Electronics (camera, phone, computer, smart watch, USB drives, etc).
* Lighters (smokers beware)
