Old Jewish cemetery slap bang in the middle of the Medina. No signage outside other than a sign over the door saying something to the effect of "non commercial". You ring the bell at the top right of the door for access. They do ask if you're Jewish but it's not like there are any checks other than that so I'm sure non-Jews can go in, just say you're Jewish.

It's not the best kept of cemeteries and there are bits of broken glass and rubbish strewn over some parts. That said the main path is clean and it's easy to access the main attractions of Rabbi Pinto & Rabbi Abraham Azoulay.

It's good practice to slip the attendants a tip when you leave.

The Old Jewish Cemetery of Casablanca adjoins the Old Medina, in the city center. No more burials have taken place there since 1947, when concessions to the Jewish and Catholic religions were granted to the cemetery of Ben M'Sik.
Cemetery maintained by three Muslim families.
During my visit i wasn't allowed to take photos. I was visiting with my Moroccan friend, as he wanted to see this place and never was allowed to enter as non-Jewish. Cemetery is guarded and reparation work in on on this vast place. Maybe that's why I wasn't allowed to photograph as it goes slowly. Short visit just and took 2 photos anyway. Visited only one part of the cemetery.

Je recherche les tombes de mes arrière-arrière-grands-parents Simy Bohbot et Abraham Hazan, peut-être qu'il a été enterré dans l'ancien cimetière avant que celui que j'ai appris n'y soit plus !
