We had a very nice lunch in a curated environment. Very relaxing if you are looking for some peace after the chaos of the Medina. Prices are higher than the average. I would recommend to book in advance, especially if you want to stay in the garden, as it tends to get quite busy with tourists during meal hours.

Nice place where they used the ruin as decor to create a beautiful courtyard in the middle of the medina.
Delicious food and good coffee.
Surrounded by cats and even a turtle sometimes crawls by.

Go here for just a drink, fresh fruit mixes or to enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner.

Another gem in the middle of the Medina.

Very relaxing cafe shielded from the blaring sun.

Recommend a coffee and a sour lemonade.

On our visit you have the usual cats but we were surprised to see a turtle casually walking through.

Worth a visit to de-stress 😊

Delicious meal at the ruined garden. Best deliciously caramelized lamb Tajine I had in Morroco, not overly sweet. The setting is beautiful in a lovely (not ruined at all garden). They were super busy so the service was slow but it remained friendly.

Had a very tasty lunch here. It was a rainy day so it was nice and cosy to sit inside. The cafe is situated in a serene garden setting. Recommended

We tried popping to the restaurant in the previous evening but it was fully booked.
It looked great so we returned the next day for lunch.
The restaurant (and the house - do not miss it) are beautiful. Much attention to the place and it clear why it is popular.
The service was very good (polite and very efficient).
The food was good (reasonably priced considering the demand for the place).
We found the dishes could use a bit more spice but quite nice.

Lives up to its reputation and recommendation. Really enjoyed the quiet & pleasant courtyard. Tortoises were most pleasing companions eat with!

Very nice garden and ambiance. Just one thing, if there is any people on the way tell you it’s closed , just ignore them. We had several teenagers on the way trying to tell us it’s closed or we took the wrong path. Fortunately we had another local guy told us it’s a scam, he brought us to the restaurant.

Apart from that, the restaurant itself is very good! Food was good. We tried local food was interesting. Overall it’s a really nice restaurant you don’t want to miss!

Perfect getaway from the hustle of the median on a sunny day out.
Not the cheapest, but worth it for the relaxing and picturesque ruin-garden setting.
We loved their smoked aubergine and cheese with fresh salad, but found the soup to be bland and tea to be too bitter. Their sour lemonade saved the day and was also a winner, add some sugar and melted ice you won’t leave until it’s gone.
We spent 200 dirham for lunch, and don’t forget to say hi to the tortoise!
If you are able to stomach it, it’s a short route to the tanneries (not for the weak stomachs).

Beautiful garden with delicious food and even a couple old turtles walking around! Lamb tagine was delicious and more saucy than most in Morocco. New juices are designed daily - be sure to ask your waiter. We had the watermelon juice and the Peach Orange juices! Moroccan salad trio included a pepper dip and an eggplant dip that tasted nearly identical - not sure I would order it again. Did not need a reservation for lunch.

A true oasis in the chaos of the Medina! We had a lovely couple of hours here just relaxing. The food was really good as was the tea. The coolest thing was the number of little animals around! We made friends with a family of turtles who walked between our feet!

Perhaps one of the best restaraunts in the Medina. Truly a hidden oasis. Seating in a beautiful cozy garden, very freshly made local dishes. We had the 3 moroccan salads, lamb & vegetable tagine and enjoyed all of it. Highly reccomended.

got the lamb tajine + trio moroccoan salad. It was bomb! love it, all food is good.

Unfortunately the wait is sometimes, i wait for 25 minutes till my order was taken, had to ask three times till he can write my order, wait for another 20 mins for my starter and another 20 minutes for my order.

The wait is fine, but the fact that we feel ignored is dissapointing.
I realized they only have 1 waiter and 1 cashier guy to take order, clean table, serve table, and be a cashier and host at the same time.

The management should hire more people to manage this.

Really cute little cafe in the heart of Fes. We were recommended this from our tour guide and I had also saw recommendations by bloggers. A nice place to take a rest and have some drinks. We got lucky and they had one of the lamb dishes available even tho you had to pre-order. It was so good and by far one of the best lamb shanks I have had. Highly recommend and if you order ahead they will definitely have it. Prices are reasonable. They do not serve alcohol.

Food is delicious and the servers are friendly and really helpful. I asked them a lot of questions about the dishes and they were happy to answer all of them. The place is sooooooo beautiful and worth visiting after a stroll in the medina.

Probably the nicest restaurant we tried in the Medina. Firstly the hidden garden setting is beautiful, second we were met by super friendly staff who were helpful to our enquiries as we passed by during the day. As we had a large group of 9 we booked dinner in advance. The manager suggested that we preorder their speciality of slow cooked lamb as it takes 8hrs to cook. We were not disappointed this was some of the best lamb I've eaten anywhere in the world.

This restaurant puts a creative twist on the classic tagines and other traditional Moroccan dishes. They buy their ingredients fresh everyday and the quality is tasted in the food. The restaurant has a vibrant and wild feel with the abundance of potted plants and birds around. Overall, this is the best meal I have eaten in Morocco over almost 2 weeks travelling here. I recommend staying in the Riad Verus hostel and having a 5 minute walk to here.
