Beautiful place to sleep, a short walk from tbe gorge. Food was authentic and great value. Our host was kind and helped us with all of our questions. This place doesn’t seem to be affiliated with the climbing store anymore, but there were other climbers staying. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Truly a gem, perfectly placed for climbing in the Gorge. Quiet evenings with mornings greeted by roosters and birds. Great service from Ismail who was responsive, attentive and flexible to our needs and schedule. Proper hot showers and great home cooked food, will be our go-to accoms in future trips to the Gorge!

We spent 5 days there, and our experience was very positive.
The food from Nora was amazing. Ishmael and Zaid were very welcoming hosts, making sure that everyone could have a great experience.

We could reach the climbing area by walk. There are many many routes. We spent 3 days on sport routes, and 2 days on multi-pitch.
Our climbing guide Daniel was very professional and kind. I learned a lot, and could lead belay my first multi-pitch router.

For people who want to climb on their own, topos are available in the hotel.

The via ferrata is short. Don't go there if you're experienced in climbing, you'll be disappointed. But for my father and my daughter, that still was a great experience. There are plans to extend it though.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I came to the gorge to climb for a week and was so happy with my stay at the secret garden. Ishmael, ‘Cinnamon’, and Nora are the best hosts, extremely kind and accommodating. The food was amazing. Walking access to climbing. A beautiful hotel!

This is the BEST place you’re going to find in Todra Gorge. It’s a hidden gem that is a 2 minute walk off the main road. The rooms have balconies with views overlooking the palmeraie (farm garden) and of the huge gorge walls that climbers travel here for. You’re likely to find climbers in this guesthouse. So if you’re one yourself then definitely book this place. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the entrance of the gorge and some of the most pleasurable climbing you’re going to find.

Ismael, the man who runs the guesthouse, is the most accommodating human you could meet. He really cares about everyone who stays there and it has true family vibes. You’ll feel safe and relaxed in this place and the energy will make you want to stay longer.

I turned up at without a booking, having been recommended by another climber and they were 100% correct. This place rents gear and has a copy of the guidebook. They make the best tagine and a delicious breakfast.

The rooms are very cozy and it’s extremely clean.

Thank you my brother Ismael for everything!

Great place and great hospitality. Ishmael is the best host ever, always greeting his guests with tea.Simple hostel but confortable enough with en suite bathrooms. Breakfast and dinner are great, typical Moroccan cuisine like Tajine (in all its varieties) couscous and all else.
Very close to the Todra gorge and all climbibg areas. Routes are between 10 and 30 minutes walk from the hostel.also, you will always meet fellow climbers here.

Ismael and all the staff at secret garden made our trip to todra gorge very special. It was a cozy spot, very clean, and delicious food. We were able to walk to climbing every day through the gardens. Ismael arranged for our taxi and bus back to Marrakech which was very helpful. I can not wait to come back and would highly recommend this place to stay

Did a 4-hour guided rock climbing tour with Hassan in the Todra Gorge which was amazing!! Hassan is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and all of the routes (and just climbing of all sorts in general). He is so kind and patient, and we felt 100% safe which was important as it was our first time climbing outdoors. Thank you so much Hassan my friend, for a great day in Morocco ❤❤❤

Super nice guesthouse with familiar atmosphere- Aissam was a great host for us and showed us the gorges and also made it possible to go on a spontaneous hiking&climbing tour! The view from the room was awesome and the guesthouse is very close to the gorges. Breakfast and Tagine also really good!

Two friends and I stayed one night at this guest house and absolutely loved it. The guest house is run by Julio, a French transplant, who is awesome. Julio has put up most of the climbing routes in Todra Gorge (and runs the climbing shop next to the guest house) and is a great source of information for climbing and adventuring in Todra Gorge and Morocco in general. More so than anywhere else I stayed during my week in Morocco, I really felt at home in Julio's house and would happily stay there again. Everything was clean, soft beds (compared to some very, very hard mattresses I slept on in other hotels in Morocco), and excellent food!

Nice place to stay. The Host is a funny guy, he cooks brilliant (mix of French and Arabic) and is very helpful by getting social contacts to the Arabs. By the way, a great climber who likes much to show you the best places where to climb. All at all, if you plan a stay next to the Todra Gorge, the Secret Garden will be the best choice!

Secret Garden Guesthouse offers a magical simple yet classey local vibe in an inspiring location. Waking up here puts a fantastic smile on my face. My room and most others open to their own fresh air terrace and a gorgeous view.
Every day theres an included breakfast with tea, fortifying coffee on a terrace overlooking the oasis gardens, giant date palm trees, the ancient kasbah, and a cascading backdrop of red face mountains.. A prelude to a rock climber’s day in paradise. Optional dinners are also hearty and delicious, carefuöly prepared with fresh local ingredients. Its relaxing here, and the Berber family that runs the Secret Garden are welcoming and attentive. Sometimes communication is amusing with everyone, including guests patching together language tools. Great value and beauty for brief and extended stays. I am now here for a month and feel totally blessed and at home.

Wow! I cannot say enough positive things about Julio’s guesthouse! It is a true and peaceful retreat in the spectacular gorge. Julio’s kind hospitality creates a positive energy throughout the guesthouse - attracting like-minded people of all nationalities. It was a real pleasure to enjoy Julio and Sisi’s cooking - as well as to climb with Julio and learn from him. Thank you!

Everything was amazing. I loved all the little details like the light fixtures to the tile work. The food was incredible and they accommodated me being a celiac no problem. My room was nice and warm and comfortable, showers were hot and everything was spotless. Highly recommend. Would stay again.
