Mosque Ikalalne

If you want to experience a real place in Morocco, we definitely recommend it.The mosque is located right next to an oasis, through which a very pleasant road leads. The mosque is reconstructed by a very nice and helpful guide who will show you around and explain its history.The mosque is located in the old ruined part of the city which is also interesting.

Had a great tour around the mosque. Very interesting history and the guide was very attentive despite the language barrier. The mosque needs donations and tourists to visit so they can do more restoration so definitely visit if you’re in the area!

It's a beautiful mosque, a must see in Tinghir. It has an interesting history and a unique architecture. There is a guardian for the mosque, a berber man who is renovating it by himself, rebuilding missing elements and maintainig. He is very kind and enthusiastic. He tells a lot about the building. He also used to study there back in the time when it was an active mosque and school.

Beautiful mosque with interesting history and a nice guide. The mosque is no longer active and he is the one who maintains it. We could see that he was very eager to show us around and that he's not doing it for money (he only started talking about money once we asked whether we could support his efforts in reconstruction of the mosque).
Unfortunately, the guide/restorer only speaks Berber, Arabic and French...

If you pass through Tinghir don't miss the Ikelane mosque and the ancient village that surrounds it! Currently being renovated by Addi who puts all his heart into it, he will explain to you like no other the history of this place. As a bonus, an exceptional view of the palm grove!

Very interresting place! Nice guide who rebuilt many parts of the old mosque by himself. He can tell many things about the rooms, the rituals and the people spent their time here, but only in french.

Very nice mosque, in the heart of the palm grove of the todra valley, very rich in the cultural and historical aspect of the region.

Addi is a remarkable man. He restaurated the Mosque on his own, with little to no help from outside. Today he is stil rebuilding the place. He has his hart on the right place. If you visit the Mosque (you really should!) he will tell you everything there's to know. There's no entrance fee whatsowever, but a little tip is always welcome.

A must visit when you’re in town! Addi is such a great guy, even though we don’t speak French, Arabic, nor Berber, he was very excited and accomodating.

Worth a visit!

Definitely a place to visit in Tinghir, great and historic old place m, run and maintained by a very dedicated man. Great views from the top. Very nice „Ferrari“ parked out front - the name of his donkey :-)

Très bon moment passé avec Addi qui nous a bien expliqué l’histoire de cette mosquée.
Félicitation à lui qui essaie de préserver ce monument, encouragez le en visitant ce lieu.
Si vous êtes en voiture, garez vous après le pont sur la droite. Revenir sur ses pas puis descendre sur le chemin au panneau, suivre le petit chemin 5min puis prendre à gauche au panneau indiquant la mosquées
