La Maison Anglaise Garden Ecolodge

An amazing place to stay. I love Morocco but it can be a sensory overload with all the colour, bustle, sights, smells and sounds! Here you can experience Morocco but also retreat to a haven of calm and beauty to recharge. I went on a singing holiday but did so much more, walking, exploring, massage, swimming, experiencing the local hammam and the souk ....... I felt so nourished by fantastic food, great company and wonderful staff.

It's just brilliant. I love it - the whole vibe in the well-designed garden, the buildings, and the sustainable aspect of it all.

The staff are incredible, all caring, kind, diligent and willing to do whatever it takes to make your stay perfect.

The food is truly delicious, fantastic for vegetarians and meat-eaters too, as well as offering tea/coffee at any time by helping yourself.

Relaxed, with the smell of the beautifully planted garden at night, and a well-stocked library so I can read all day long by the pool. Heaven!

Just back from a singing holiday here. Can't recommend it enough. Gorgeous location and friendly, super-efficient staff. Great food, with exceptional attention to people's food preferences. February was a good time weather-wise too. Hot days, cool nights.

I found Holidays with Heart due to my singing leader and I had never been on this type of holiday before. La Maison Anglaise was an idyllic backdrop for taking some time for myself and experiencing new things. The rooms were clean, well-appointed and there was a really safe feeling throughout the ecolodge. The staff were so friendly and it was great to experience Morocco with their guidance and advice, for example when we visited the public hammam and the souk. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Spent a wonderful week here in January being thoroughly looked after by Latifa and Said and the wonderful team. The accommodation was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The food was amazing and delicious at every meal and so many choices.
It was an easy walk from the lodge into the town.
Would love to spend another week here soon!

Just perfect. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. The eco design is welcoming and relaxing. Rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. Staff are very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Food amazing- delicious and healthy. I cannot praise this place enough

I have stayed here many times and I will come back again. A beautiful oasis of calm with delicious food, wonderful rooms and a really lovely swimming pool. The staff are extremely kind and caring, and the venue offers wonderful trips out and courses. My favourite holiday destination

La Maison Anglaise has been planned to perfection - the rooms, the pool, the gardens, outdoor and indoor spaces are all beautiful, with great attention to making things as sustainable as possible. The staff know exactly how to make sure you have a fabulous time - they are very experienced, professional and caring. The recent earthquake happened the night we arrived - although the buildings shook violently, there was no damage and we felt very secure and reassured by the team to continue our stay as planned. It is a short walk to the city gates, souk and medina. The food is delicious and as vegetarians we were brilliantly catered for. We love this place and hope to return.

I can echo much of what others have said. It was a wonderful retreat. We did yoga outside in the cool early morning. Accompanied by blackbirds and Bulbul birds and lots of little tree sparrows. It's a haven of wildlife in the verdant garden. Food was excellent and the walks arranged were educational and interesting. The pool is devine in a country so hot. Fans are provided.
It is only a 10 minute walk to the town with all its treasures, sights and markets.

Only one issue was the wedding venue 100 m away. Which did get rather noisy on occasions.

Wonderful place to stay, beautiful gardens and pool, amazing food and the staff are incredibly friendly. Great location for exploring Taroudant and experiencing authentic Moroccan culture as there are hardly any tourists at all.

During my 1-week stay @ La Maison Anglaise, attending a course, I felt so cared for by everyone in the staff! The rooms are spacious and clean, service is exceptional and the buildings & pool area are beautifully designed and well kept. I highly recommend La Maison Anglaise for a relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful week with our family ranging from 2 years old to over 70. This is a simply lovely Maison run on eco principles and with everything catered for. Staff looked after all our needs constantly saying "this is your home". Totally recommend it.

What a fantastic place to have a holiday. A beautiful safe, clean setting with excellent staff and interesting well-organised trip choices. We couldn't have asked for more!

Absolutely fantastic location and hospitality, and brilliant week. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the ecolodge, and I couldn't fault it. The excursions I went on were all well-thought out and interesting. The food was delicious throughout the week: it was vegetarian by default, but with an option to pay a small supplement for a meat or fish dish each evening. The highlight were the staff, who were all warm and friendly, informative and professional. I thoroughly recommend La Maison Anglaise

This was my 6th trip to La Maison and my 3rd since it moved to its new ecolodge outside the walls of Taroudant.
I recall giving it a 5 star review on my my trip but somehow this place gets better and better each time.
My previous visits have been as a participant in another person run course. This was my first as a co-facilitator of a group.
La Maison staff make everything so simple, so relaxing and so enjoyable from booking to coming home.
On this visit we had one person with very difficult and limited dietary needs but that met those needs with style and showed real empathy to the person.
Trips, massages, packed lunches are all organised around the groups desires and absolutely nothing is too much trouble.
The food is just outstanding and massively plentiful so there is never any need to eat elsewhere.
Rooms are spotless and the beds are not softer than my first visit, still firm but more comfortable.
The pool is wonderful anytime of year and the aromas of herbs as you walk around the garden so relaxing.
From collection at the airport to trips and going home everything is organised and I defy anyone, anywhere to find more better kinder more accomodating staff.

This was my 5th visit to la Maison Anglaise and the first to the new ecolodge, which is a gorgeous set of authentic Moroccan style buildings set in lush gardens with a swimming pool too. The staff welcome and care for your needs, whether a short walk in the High Atlas, a visit to Berber villages in a non-intrusive way or just to find a certain product in the souk. They can arrange for henna patterns for your hands or feet, in the comfort of the gardens. The food is excellent both at breakfast and dinner (you will not find better in Taroudant). Either visit independently or join a group activity for a week with a tutor in painting, singing, dancing, yoga or photography etc. This is a great place to experience a real taste of Morocco in a safe and authentic space and from where your love of Morocco can grow and develop.

Friendly, informative staff. Excellent rooms. Wonderful food. Both vegetarian and Meat dishes. The rooms are surrounded by gardens. Easy walk to all the Souks and town centre. Also has a swimming pool. Rooms are not air conditioned rather they are designed to remain cool using a mix of traditional design and clever technology. Worked for us!

We are not long back from an amazing week here. Fell in love with it - beautiful setting, lovely people, delicious food! Already hoping to book again. Thank you to all who made our stay such a delight!

Hotel is well thought through. Bedrooms are Well appointed , showers superb.
Flora and fauna around the hotel delightful and a good pool.
The icing on the cake being the staff, superb, nothing too much trouble and so very knowledgeable.
Catering too was excellent.
Am amazing small hotel.

I recently stayed with friends at La Maison Anglaise Ecolodge. The service from the staff is superb. The driver was there to meet us at the airport. The cooking staff produced fantastic and varied meals. Nothing is too much bother - they will accommodate every need. Every room has it's own bespoke decor and all rooms are en-suite. Most rooms are named after plants in the garden - a nice touch. The Ecolodge is very near to the souks - it's just a 10 minute walk. The swimming pool was very welcome on hot days. There's nothing I didn't like about the place - it's fabulous
