Agafay Desert

Visiting the desert was a great and interesting experience. However, seeing the camels run until exhaustion and being beaten up was terrible. It also gets really cold after the sun goes down. If you're visiting the desert after sunset, bring warm clothes with you.

Truly memorable experience

Lovely excursion, host was great we had a sunset dinner and camel ride. The view was gorgeous and worth the visit. We booked ours in advance online however hotels can also arrange this. The kids enjoyed camel riding.

The highlight of our trip. A bumpy to wonderfully beautiful oasis! Our traditional Berber dinner was delicious.

We booked a 4hr camel ride trip from our Riad, and it was a lovely evening in the desert. A great experience and a short drive from Marrakech.

This desert was pretty cool just 30min from Marrakech airport. I went here for quad ride and highly recommend it

Wonderful desert experience only 45 minutes from Marrakech. To get away from it all avoid the main aphalt road that runs through Agafay in the centre and head to Eastern Agafay towards the N'fis river. Activity specialist Dunes & Desert is based there, and Nkhila Lodge, with unique luxury tents on stilts atop a dune with views to the High Atlas from private balconies.

We went there to take pictures. We found ourselves riding quad bikes. Find group and go there, if you are alone and want to ride quad bike it is not allowed. There are plenty of options, quad bikes, buggies, camel ride and you can choose 1 or 2 hours options

Close to Marrakech as compared to Sahara. Book for quad bike , camel ride and dinner under stars, you'd love it

The dessert was stunning!

Lovely place to book a desert camp and chill out with snow-covered High Atlas mountain views in the distance, and the desert's rocky and rolling hills framed by dawn or dusk. You can tear through the desert on a quad bike, rented from one of the ubiquitous rental shops along the main road, but it's even better to ride through by camel or hike, alive with wild flowers and cricket song.
