Diar Illi

One of the most beautiful places we stayed at during our road trip in Morocco. The location and the view are breathtaking and the food was fantastic. We loved our stay there and were sad to leave. Everything was perfect!

Paradise is 1080 meters above sea level and it is called Diar Illi. 1 hour from Marrakech on the way to Ouarzazate, this haven of peace and luxury will offer you a magnificent memory. A breathtaking view, perfect service, an exceptional cook (Rachida), magnificent rooms, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Villa with private pool. We had such an extraordinary moment that we went back a second time even though it was not planned. The campfire in the evening with a glass of wine....only memorable memories. Not to be missed.

Best accommodation while on Morocco. Spacious, well decorated rooms with comfortable beds. The outdoor space is unbelievable, the swimming pool is immaculate and there is a nice relaxing area with beautiful views.
Food (dinner and breakfast) was great. The owner and the staff was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. Excellent quality/price relation. Would definitely recommend!

Bicycle tourist here. They put my bicycle in its own room. Extremely hot water, good WiFi, and a very quiet night.

I would highly recommend you stay here at least one night and have a dinner. The meal and 4 large bottles of water was 400 Diram. Booking says the meal is 25euro, so I’m not sure how that added up, but I didn’t care because it was so good. Just get the meal and don’t worry about the price. Best meal I have had in Morocco. What a perfect break from the craziness of the Medina of Marrakesh and the perfect r&r on our Morocco trip. Hidden up in the mountains, only an hour from Marrakesh we spent two night at this magnificent property. The house is yours to explore and enjoy. The living room, the huge pool, chill out areas, numerous couches indoors and out, rooftops, rugs, fireplaces, board games and on top of that our room was huge, well appointed and with views for days.
Zineb, the owner is a woman who loves to look after people. There was a constant supply of homemade (with home grown or local produce) plentiful, delicious and healthy food. This was some of the best we ate in Morocco. Her and her team made every effort for us to be super relaxed and enjoy our time. It was a wonderful treat.

A magnificent place in the heart of the valleys of Marrakech.
In this luxurious establishment, the atmosphere is magical and the suites are incredible with a breathtaking view (of the natural landscape).
The staff is attentive and the food is excellent. Everything is homemade with local organic products.

I highly recommend this place for an unforgettable stay.

Beautiful estate, grand, oppulent rooms, all the amenities - billiards, table-tennis, fireplaces, huge pool and exceptional food. Only a fix to the useless wi-fi and some maintenance on the showers away from perfection.

Hands down the best place we have stayed at in Morocco, less than an hour ride from Marrakech, this piece of heaven is just perfection, every thing about this place is superb, the food, the view, the staff, the lovely owner, the pool and the outdoors' setting.

Like an Oasis. We stumbled upon the Diar Illi during a vross country motorbike ride. It's pretty much off season, yet the staff continually works hard to keep the entire grounds looking immaculate.

The hosts are personal and gracious, and the food is wonderful. I would give it an additional star if I could.

Please don’t make the same mistake that we did!!! We booked for just one night at this Mountain Oasis - you should have at least 2 nights here to relax and enjoy the wonderful setting with tranquil views and exceptional food. The owner Zineb is really a very special lady and she can’t do enough to ensure your stay is perfect.

Like others have mentioned, the food is exceptional. We let the hotel know in advance that we are vegetarian and Zineb checked with us on arrival what we would like to eat for dinner. We asked for pasta / spaghetti - cooked a little firm (‘al dente’) as we had some terribly overcooked pasta in Marrakesh a few days earlier and weren’t sure if this was the Moroccan way of cooking it. I know - this is really an over- fussy request, no? At dinner my wife and I were presented with around 6 small plates of deliciously fresh and perfectly dressed salads and 2 large plates of absolutely perfect spaghetti with a fresh tomato sauce and sprinkling of cheese. Everything was absolutely outstanding! For breakfast - let’s not even go there!!!…you’ll think this is a fake review if I keep this up!!

The room was spacious and equally well-decorated in very tasteful character as is the rest of the hotel with attention paid to all the fine details. Excellent powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Very good air conditioning in the room too and a large comfy bed. Plenty of wardrobe storage.

So, there must be some criticism, no? The only thing that I can think of is the patchy Wi-Fi - it didn’t really work in our room nor from the upper sun decks. This wasn’t a problem at all for us as we switched to 10Gb Moroccan SIM cards (€10) when we arrived in the country for our 2-week trip to use for Google Maps and social media!

Ein wunderschöner Ort! Die Betreiber haben eine kleine Oase geschaffen, mit Pool und unzähligen Ruhe Möglichkeiten, überall auf dem Grundstück sind kleine Tischgruppen und Liegen.

Das Essen ist täglich frisch zubereitet, es wurde uns eine Auswahl von 3-4 kleinen Gerichten serviert. (Vegetarisch gibt es auch)

Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, die Betten bequem und sauber.

Wir können die Unterkunft herzlich weiterempfehlen!

Après la médina, arriver dans un lieu aussi calme et tranquille est juste ultra reposant.
Le repas prit devant le couché de soleil avec une vue incroyable était parfait, surtout avec une nourriture aussi bonne et généreuse.
Le service d’une sympathie et d’une gentillesse, ils feront tout pour que vous soyez au top.
Le lieu est immense et très beau, une piscine de très grande taille sera la pour vous rafraîchir ( nous en février l’eau est un peu froide ), la chambre est calme avec une literie très bonne et joliment décoré.

Struttura magnifica immersa nel verde...nel completo nulla... ideale per rilassarsi e staccare la spina con la frenesia della città... difficile e dispendioso raggiungere Marrakech una volta lì.
Piscina grande bellissima con acqua molto fresca. E possibilità di avere un bungalow privato con piscina più piccola ad uso esclusivo.
Cibo stratosferico..ma occhio alle spezie se non si è abituati!
