Ecomusée Berbère de l`Ourika Berber Museum

It's a bit hidden away in a remote Berber village, but the museum guide did a great job at storytelling about the different museum objects & the local culture. We really learned a lot (especially about Berber carpet designs & their significance).

Fantastic day trip from Marrakech. Very interesting to see the set-up of Berber people from the region and interesting experience eating in a Berber house. Experienced an adventurous trek at Seti Fadma.

Excellent small museum about Berber culture, definitely recommend if you’re in the area. The sections on Berber women’s carpets and stories are especially good.
NB As some other reviewers have noted, bring some biscuits or sweets for the children

Great learning experience

Very interesting ! Must do and gentlemen that are doing the visit are fun and enjoyable. This place is really great and everything explained is worth the trip. They speak French of course and also very well English which is a great plus I think we need to discuss this in more details with Andrew as well eventually? 😀 Fabulous moment spent there if you like culture and understand better what are Berbere people !

visited a local real authentic barber's house. was warmly welcomed by the inhabitants who held Moroccan tea mint ceremony and treated with freshly baked home made bread, honey, olive oil and home made amazing butter. yummy!

Very nice museum in authentic settings. The guide is very knowledgeable and gets his enthusiasm across. Kids loved the explanations on carpet meanings.

A converted kasbah in the village of Tafza in the Ourika valley has been turned into a fascinating collection demonstrating the daily life of the Berbers, with exhibits on clothing, carpets and farming tools, as well as some fantastic black and white photos (this museum is owned by the Maison de la Photographie)
