Hotel Top Ourika

Beautiful location, very friendly staff and delicious breakfast :) great value for money !

“I stayed at Top Ourika for 4 nights and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. The first day I met Abdel the manager who gave me an incredible welcome and showed me all the facilities. He obviously takes great pride in the hotel and I saw him one day tending to the garden to ensure it was perfect for guests! Abdel had to leave on day 2 so left Abdul in charge of me. Abdul was a brilliant host and a perfect replacement! He did everything that I asked for and much more. He arranged all my transportation to more unusual destinations and even drew me maps in Arabic so that I could show the drivers! He was incredibly flexible with my [many!] requests and basically made my stay there an absolute pleasure. I cannot thank Abdul enough for all the hard work that he put in to make my stay comfortable! All in all the food was great, the rooms comfortable and the location perfect. I highly recommend a stay here! One thing I would add is that if you decide to book and then cancel your trip - please please inform the hotel. The reason is that the workers have to wait until midnight [often in the cold] until it is officially classed as a 'no-show'. Of course this time could be better spent with their families. Please out of respect to these guys be sure to cancel because I have met them and they really are wonderful people! Of course I hope you don't cancel as I am sure you will have a great stay like me!”

This is a very nice hotel, right in front of the river. The owners are very chilled and probably used to people sitting around the river or in strange place for pictures, or catching the sun. They seemed to be fine with that. There are swings and other kids toys so I assume this is popular with kids. But it’s a small hotel for example about 4 or 5 rooms.

Tips:
1. Finding it, this hotel did not come up on my sat nav which was pretty annoying. I took directions to Ourika then I parked up checked the map and drove again. driving is pretty straight forward as there is pretty much only one road. So drive and keep a look up as the hotel has signs on the top of the building
2. Hitch hikers, there will be children and elderly people asking for a ride as you drive up or down the mountain. I think it’s pretty normal there to give someone a ride, but do your own research for safety, etc. They speak french and Arabic, so don’t pick up thinking you will have a blast in English!
3. Footwear, it is mountainous - so wear appropriate footwear
4. Walking /hiking - check online first, you can get half and full day trips to walk around the area for reasonable prices. Or just walk yourself
5. People selling you things - be prepared not for beggars, but people asking you to buy something. The prices typically were reasonable. But do be prepared and hopefully it doesn’t annoy you, they’re just making a living and do depend on you
6. Do spend in the local shops, go for a walk and buy something! I bought fruit, some honey, bread, very small things but I’m sure it helps
7. Climate, it can be very cold in the morning / night! So dress appropriately

Great place to stay - value for money and amazing staff.
The place is located 20 min drive from Seti Fadma, just by the river, so the meals can be enjoyed while watching the river and the mountains.
The rooms are bit naff design-wise but they very clean and equipped with heaters and A.C., also TV.
I'd recommend the food at the hotel also, dinners, especially the chicken and fig tagine.

Great hotel, the best food in the area at reduced rates for guests (included breakfast was excellent), helpful staff who went out of their way to make our stay welcome. Perfect for families. Cannot recommend enough.

This is truly my favourite place to stay in ourika valey. Placed in a great location next to the river, The hotel is absolutely stunning. The staff consistently make an incredible effort to go above and beyond for each stay. In addition, we were very happy to book directly with the riad. Breakfast was always delicious. It was really a very nice experience. Would 100% recommend every time. We will be back.

Well ... what can I say?! EVERYTHING is juat mesmerising... i stayed in Marrakech for 2 days in a 4 star hotel and it wasn't even near the awesomeness of this experience. Top ourika hotel had it all. If you are looking for a stress free environment, good atmosphere, cozy place and good food then top ourika is the place you really need to go. I was a little bit comprehensive at first because it was one hour away from marrakech and we didn't really know how to get there, but all you need ia ask. Once we arrived they gave us moroccan mint tea AS A GIFT from the hotel. I mean ... talk about HOSPITALITY. the staff there was SUPER friendly. They ALWAYS tried their best to make us comfortable. What's more is the location of the hotel being incredibly close to the river which makes EVERY meal and moment incredible! Another thing that the closeness of the hotel servers is that you can actually hear the stream when in your room sleeping which will definitely make all your stress completely vanish.
Overall, everything about the hotel exceeded what i expected. 😍

The hotel location is amazing and the staff is lovely. The restaurant serves very good typical moroccan dishes. Very recommended!

Abdo was super kind and helpful. Traditional breakfast was nice. The views are also sweet.

La posizione di quest'hotel è da sogno. Fornisce un paesaggio naturale incredibile e il servizio è impeccabile. A pochi metri dall'hotel si possono visitare cascate e luoghi pazzeschi!! Ideale per chi ama la natura e vuole passare delle giornate tranquille.

Un lugar espectacular donde descansar y desconectar, en las montañas del Atlas, personal muy atento y cercano, unas vistas maravillosas, y el propietario muy atento con sus clientes, la comida muy rica y abundante, lugar para volver a visitar seguro, todo limpio y cuidado.
