We stayed in the room with the private pool. We really enjoyed the room and the beautiful hotel. This was a perfect hotel to take a few days off from our constant travel around Morocco. The service was great, the views were amazing and the dogs and cats on the property really made it feel like home.

Amazing place, stunning gardens and excellent local food. Excellent service ( Spa, cleaning) except the waiters who would benefit from a bit more training. Our only regret was that we could only stay 2 nights there as the place was fully booked.

Amazing place for a short trip away from Marrakech.
Beautiful setting, great pool and a lovely garden restaurant to enjoy a meal and a drink.
The property has beautiful gardens to walk around and a lovely spa if you want a treatment.

Great place on the top of the mountain. From the entrance you get no clue how big the kasba is, but when you go inside you will be amazed by the landscape of the area it offers. You won't regret spending 1 week there.

Wow! This has to be one of the most beautiful spots on the world. We visited as a day trip from Marrakech, hosting a lunch here for 26 friends on their private terrace. The service was impeccable, food was the best we had during our whole trip to Morocco and views were unbeatable. We will be back and next time to stay a few days!

Stunningly beautiful setting. Being a bit up in the mountains, it was a comfortable temperature even at the height of summer. The staff were lovely and very helpful the whole time, offering tours of the local area as well as consistently delicious meals and drinks.

We went as a couple but we think it would work well for larger groups, as the grounds were spacious and offered lots of places to sit down and admire the sun setting behind the mountains over a cocktail.

I attended a destination wedding here. The weather was cold, but the view was breath taking, especially during sunset

Magical is the best way to describe this place! It’s an hour outside of Marrakech but feels worlds away in a mountain paradise. Their property is extraordinary, the staff was phenomenal and the food was a delight (each day a new menu). I enjoyed my massage at the spa. I also bought a couple of pieces from the hotel's display cases near the reception. They offer laundry service which is efficient and very reasonable. There is Wi-Fi around the property but it is touch and go so don’t plan to work remotely without a SIM card that has data. I certainly can’t wait to go back, they book up quickly so try to reserve a space in advance. They did have some limited parking if you plan to drive but it can be tricky as Google Maps doesn’t know the route but they have some signs to help you along.

A beautiful place to stay. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
The gardens calm and peaceful with so many quiet places to enjoy the splendid views of the mountains.
Excellent massage in the spa.
Cooking lesson with chef Ali was fun.
Would love to return.

This Kasbah is a hidden gem and a very special place. i recommend to anyone traveling through Ourika or even as a getaway from any city life. It is secluded at the top of a village in Ourika. the intent of staying here is to not be around a bunch of people, enjoy the tranquility and do their excursions if you want a local experience. we drove up but google maps is not developed in this area so we had a lot of dead ends. adding to the adventure in my eyes ;). the room was trendy, cooking class with Ali was fun and loved walking the gardens. the pool and $6 glasses of wine was beautiful. some of the reviews left on this place are silly- anyone leaving a bad review doesn't understand the purpose of this special place. only downfall is no A/C which can we expected at the top of a village in the middle of morocco. maybe a couple extra fans would help cool rooms.

Kasbah Bab Ourika is a true oasis of peace and tranquility. Nestled atop a hill in the Ourika Valley, this haven offers unrivaled views of the stunning Atlas Mountains, providing an idyllic backdrop. The atmosphere is calm, with the beauty of nature surrounding you in every direction, undisturbed by the typical noise of city life.

Here, you can truly unplug and unwind, whether that means lounging by the pool, exploring the lush gardens, or simply soaking in the views.

If you're seeking a tranquil retreat that embodies the idyllic beauty of Morocco, look no further than Kasbah Bab Ourika.

Wonderful stay in this thoughtfully designed hotel. Breathtaking views and gardens. Beautiful fireplace in the room, super comfortable. Loads of character and a wonderful feel to the hotel. Staff very warm and hospitable, we also had dinner and breakfast, couldn’t fault any part of our stay

Sometimes it’s hard to understand how some people, who clearly have more money than either taste or manners, can review this place as anything less than 4 stars unless they had the unluckiest experience ever. We, on the other hand, had a wonderful two days in this hilltop kasbah of peace. The views are to die for (oh! And yes they are hidden by trees….they are for shade, of course!)and the service is courteous. Our room (a suite) was at the back of the hotel but still had a wonderful view of the hills and the sunrise and was absolutely delightful (no, it didn’t have a fridge or mini bar but you just don’t need one). Ok, the huge bath with amazing view would have taken an hour to fill but who cares when you have time on your hands!
The gardens are amazing and they have an enormous vegetable patch with at least 20 different types in full bloom (I’ve seen reviews that mention “limited veg on the plate” and just don’t get it). The pool area is lovely with loads of room all over the place to lie or sit and chill.
You could say that actual building looks a little rough and that would be true, but it’s totally in keeping with architecture and the local look, so again, what people’s problem with it is, I just can’t see.
Now the food, of which a lot has been said in poor reviews. Is it exceptional, high end, Michelin starred? No, it’s not and never purported to be. But it’s tasty, well presented and we thought pretty good all round value for the place you are buying into when you stay here. And no, it’s not included in the price of the room and there are only three choices for starter, main and sweet. We thought it was fine overall and would never have beloved the nonsense others have said about it had we not read it here on Google.
The manager we met, the lovely Ingrid, was only too helpful and especially as we found a wild dog with 5 new born puppies outside our private terrace in the bushes. She helped my wife to feed them and made sure they were moved to somewhere safe when we left (perhaps she was unsure the next guests in the room would be quite so easy going…)
All in all an amazing place for a few days total R&R…take the right mindset and you will love it
P.S. one little gripe: if you are going to offer backgammon boards, please make sure they all have the correct playing pieces with them! None of yours did :(

This place is absolutely beautiful! The design, the location, the service were all wonderful. It was my birthday and we were made to feel so special by all the staff, and got upgraded to a beautiful suite as well. Everyone we interacted with at the Kasbah was so warm, the rooms and Kasbah facilities were beautiful, not to mention the gardens and the views! You can really tell a lot of thought goes into the design and the day to day operations of the Kasbah. I could not have been happier, this was truly a magical place.

We love this place. Our suite was the most beautiful that we have had the good fortune to stay in anywhere in our travels. The entire property is beautiful and peaceful, good for the soul. The food was excellent and the staff was exceptionally lovely. We particularly enjoyed spending time with Stephen Skinner, the owner. He is delightful and knowledgeable about various aspects of this wonderful country. If you have the opportunity to stay here I can not imagine that you will be disappointed.

Not the easiest place to get to, typically a location you would stop at on your way between destinations while in-country. But spend a few days here, as proximity to the picturesque Berber villages is excellent. Located next to a national park, the views on several sides are quite stunning. If it's a clear morning, you'll see the snow-capped High Atlas mountains in the distance with the riad's palm trees from their sumptuous gardens in the foreground. Service is excellent in food, especially the tagines, were quite good. Highly recommended experience: visit a Berber family and cook lunch with them. You won't regret it. Be sure to take little gifts for any children you see in the village.

We had lunch here as part of a tour. The food was very nice and they served alcohol. The hotel itself is amazing. It's grand, peaceful, exquisitely decorated and I would imagine amazing to stay there. The views on all sides are phenomenal and on a clear day we were told you can see the snow caps peaks of the atlas mountains.

A very relaxing stay here. No airs and graces, just a relaxing get away from it all. We also went on a short walking trip with a guide set up by the hotel which was also brilliant.

The hospitality of the people who run this place is supreme. The architecture pleasant, the views outstanding, the food of high quality, the garden out from a dream and the location convenient to Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The building itself is fairly new and everything is in pristine condition. Very pleasant place to stay to relax enjoying the gardens and pool or to drive around the region. Thank you Damien and the whole Team for making our 7 days stay very special and enjoyable.
