Its hard to put into words how wonderful our experience was at Tifawine. The kasbah is a beautiful oasis outside of the hustle of Marrakech. The space is beautifully designed and while remaining casual and comfortable. The real stand out here is Hannelore, who went above and beyond before, during and after our stay - even ensuring we had a packed breakfast on the way out for our very early flight home. Her work with the local community and to help women makes everything even more special. The home cooked food was delicious and we left feeling nourished and better than when we arrived. I cannot recommend Tifawine enough if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway in a beautiful place.

A hidden gem right in the middle between Marrakech and the magical Atlas. A little paradise with excise service, relaxing vibe, a gentle and caring host Hannelore. A perfect hideaway to hit the Atlas hiking, on MTB or e-Bike, and the next day wandering around the small shops in the maze of the Marrakech Medina.

Superb experience outside Marrakesh with very kind staff. Nice, clean and spacious rooms. The lunch and dinners are delicious. Recommend to take activities during the day such as the hiking tour in the mountains. The hammam is just amazing

We had a fabulous stay at Hannelore’s stylish and intimate lodging. Tifawine has such a welcoming vibe with lovely staff and personalised attention to suit all your wishes…….plus great fresh locally sourced food served up from a daily changing menu. It’s really well located just 30 minutes south of Marrakech….. we stayed a few nights in the medina and then went out to Tifawine away from the frenetic inner city pace to enjoy some relaxing days by the pool, hammam treats and a spot of Atlas mountain activity. Hannelore organises everything for you and we loved our tailor-made day hike in the Ourika Valley . It’s still relatively new and more known through word of mouth and within Belgian circles …… I know you can’t keep a good secret safe….. we’ll definitely be back to this wonderful winter retreat ….. highly recommended!

Tifawine is a dream place you don’t want to leave while you stay there. The decoration is traditional with a twist: behind the colors and shapes you clearly see the top talent of Hannelore, the owner and founder of the place, together with husband Kris. The place is luxurious and still totally respectful of local Berber culture. The glass roof over the inner courtyard is very impressive. And the pool is inviting and large. It has excellent food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The gardens are like an oasis, manicured and with deliciously smelling herbs everywhere. My room was very spacious, with an outdoor private terrace, and an outdoor shower. The hammam and the massage services are excellent and top quality. There is a a large list of activities that the hosts propose, from mountain bike to sunset experiences, they go out of their way to make your stay unforgettable.
I want to go back soon, the magic of the place is such an amazing experience!

About an half an hour drive out of Marrakech, a small piece of tranquility with wonderful people, excellent authentic food, best place to recharge your battery.

Tifawine is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Marrakesh. When the gates of this little paradise open, you enter a world of beauty and tranquility.
The friendly staff make you feel right at home and are eager and proud to show you around.
You can tell the owners are experienced home decorators, every little detail is just spot on. Authentic berber style with all modern comfort. The rooms are spacious and open up to private terraces, with mountain or garden view.
If you can, go for the garden suite with a private swimming pool and the most inviting bath I've ever seen.
Service is excellent and all meals are delicious, served wherever you like!
The very friendly owners Hannelore and Kris took us on inspiring hikes, beautiful mountain bike tours and an unbelievably magical sundowner spot.
I wish we could give 6 star ratings, absolutely recommended!

Tifawine is perfectly located to get a small escape from all the (beautiful) chaos in Marrakech centre: in between the nature, infinite view (on the mountains), beautiful decorated Kasbah and endless garden with many detailed surprises.

Also sporty spices will love this place: lots of hike/run-tours & a swimmingpool. We did two amazing hikes with a passionated guide that Hannelore recommended us - the hikes were all about nature & the walk itself without any tourist traps (which is quite rare these times ;-)).

We also visited Tamsloght with Hannelore and discovered how everything we can find in Tifawine (from food until chairs) is bought in the local shops. Our eyes were especially spoiled in the Cooperative Art Tissage Tam..

The food was amazing, by a wonderful local cook. Actually all people working here we crossed, are wonderful. Our experience of Tifawine was marked by the warmth and care of the whole Tifawine family.

When something is founded by passion, energy and with a certain goal (I consider Tifawine as an investment that contributes to the whole Berber village & their sharing culture) those positive vibes radiate into the experience of their guests.. love, Eva

Tifawine is a small slice of paradise in the midst of the heavenly Moroccan tableau. If you’re looking for an oasis of rest, this is where you need to be. It’s a fertile garden of fluttering greenery, orange coloured kasbah’s and mandarine trees that’ll put you to dreaming.

Each morning I gently woke up by bird sounds that seemed to come from different times, and every night I lost myself in the melancholic pink shades of the sunset combined with magical sounds of crickets.

You’ll be received by Hannelore, her beautiful family and the wonderful staff who’ll make sure everything is done with unconditional and pure love. Including Moody, their dog, who’ll give you endless cuddles and affection. The help, the food and the service they provide will definitely touch your soul.

Apart from the aesthetically pleasing environment, there is a lot to discover.

You can either choose for soft and sweet days at the hotel, where you’ll be hypnotized by the horizon of endless mountain chains. Swimming, reading on the rooftop, laying in the soft grass, enjoy the hammam,…

Or if you want more movement you can go explore the vivid and radiant neighborhoods.
Tifawine is located in Tameslouht, a cute little village where you’ll discover the pure colours of the country.
You can also opt for the bigger option; Marrakech, which is only 20 min away if you’re looking for more noise.

Very interesting to see both ways of living and breathing.
In both cases, I got fully indulged in the vibrant Moroccan culture.
Hannelore and the Tifawine family will give you perfect tips for your specific desires.

Oh, and if you like to gaze stars, this is the perfect place. Hannelore told me that ‘Tifawine’ means ‘little lights’ which perfectly match the bright and endless starry nights.

All of this happens at the foot of the Atlas, combined with the mystical scents of the desert.
You’ll find them in the background of all your memories.

Kasbah Tifawine, a beautiful small hotel less than a half-hour drive from the busy center of Marrakech.

A beautifully decorated room, a lovely garden with pool, delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner, a relaxing massage, friendly staff and all this without losing the uniqueness of Morocco, in short .... the ideal place to relax. We will definitely come back.

Half an hour away from the ever hectic Medina of Marrakech, you walk into the enchanting world of Dar Tifawine( place with many lights)
The warm reception of the friendly staff gives you an instant good feeling.
The bright, intuitive color mix of the textile, so typical of the Berber culture, framed by an old plastering technique with a lot of weathered wood, betrays that a interior designer was at work here.
We sleep as a rose in our beautiful room with old pink tones, large terrace and a view of the Atlas.
The rooftop terrace is a wonderful place for a apero at sunset.
The garden is a feast for all senses.
On request, the owners organize excursions and sporting activities and a sundowner on location is also possible.
You have also come to the right place for a relaxing stay.
Enjoy the carefully prepared Moroccan cuisine, a nice massage, a detoxifying hamman and than refresh yourself in the spacious swimmingpool.

What a magical place this is. Enjoyed every minute: from the warm welcome at the gate by Hannelore and her team, to the beautiful house with superb interior design, the best roof terrace and Atlas view and the magnificent garden. Also loved the hikes as prepared by Hannelore and guide Abdu.

For real, one of the best places I have ever been. The staff is extremely sweet. When we left, they all come out to hug us. And the food was THE BEST. I even tried chicken after 8 years of not eating meat. We will definitely come back.

My wife and I love to travel and explore cool and trendy hotspots. This time we wanted to discover Marocco. After busy Marrakesh we explored the surroundings of Marrakesh before heading south to the dessert. On our road south we stayed in several Kasbahs and Tifawine just stand out. It was the highlight accommodation outside the cities. In North Africa it is rare to find a place that can combine local traditions, modernity, the right interior touch and blend it together into a fantastic place with a great atmosphere. Maybe you will be as lucky as we are and be able to book 2 nights longer. I'm sure you would :-).

Tifawine in one word: breathtaking. The atmosphere this Kasbah exudes cannot be matched. From the first welcome to the last breakfast, we had a moment to imagine ourselves in paradise on earth.
