Beautiful mosque which is built on water and on land. The queue to they the tickets was not long. And then we were transported by golf car near the mosque doors and then we were asked to come in and place our footwear in a bag provided. We had English tour guide who took us around and explained every bit very well. It was fascinating to learn about the mosque. Well organized place the only thing I would recommend is to get sustainable bags for the footwear so you dnt add to the landfill.

Such a beautiful mosque that is so proudly Moroccan in its architecture. The attention to details and the materials brought in from all over Morocco is simply incredible. The amount of resources and time spent to build this mosque is a definite testament to Moroccan’s devotion. Definitely a highlight of Casablanca.

Ticket cost 130 MAD for tourist, 140MAD if you would like to visit the museum too. You can buy the ticket over the counter, but do come earlier as the there are language-specific tour organised by guides within the mosque. Look out for the language tour you would like to join - there are signs marked inside the room! The tour is available at each hour (except during the 5 daily prayers time), starting on the dot. Pro-tip: I wasn’t aware of the guided tour and missed it, but waited for the next tour, this gives me time to take more pictures as the guide may only give you 5 minutes to take pictures inside.

As the mosque is facing the Atlantic Ocean, it gets very windy and chilly so dress warmly!

Absolutely stunning inside and out and a must see in Casablanca.

Huge facility, stunning views with the ocean air.

No entry fees needed unless you need a guided tour in a particular language (see mosque website). Very easy to get to and can walk to the site from the city center

Will leave you breathless! Excellent setting by the ocean and can take a guided tour in all popular languages for the same price as the entrance fee. No additional cost. Best was pictures were allowed which is progressive as if something like this is built why keep it secret. Ticketing very efficient. Noted closed from noon to 3 pm each day so plan accordingly.

Impressive and large mosque. The scale on the exterior can be overwhelming. Absolutely worth seeing. You could easily spend an hour or more. Tours are available in different languages. There is a tour in English at 12 noon.

Visited Casablanca Mosque and had an amazing experience with a private guided tour booked through the Get Your Guide app. The guide was knowledgeable, providing insightful information about the mosque's history and architecture. The personalised attention enhanced the overall visit, making it a memorable and enriching experience. Highly recommend this guided tour to truly appreciate the beauty of the Casablanca Mosque.

Seen some guided tours were too fast and too many people.

Must see place in Casablanca. Huge, beautiful mosque by the sea. It creates nice silhouettes of the coastal line of the city. Has a huge courtyard. Detailed architecture and Morocco's finest craftsmanships. Interior very impressive. You can get inside unless it's time for Muslims to worship and pray to god. Even if they don't let you get in because of the praying time, just wait for it to be finished and you can get in. The people working there might not speak English. I think they are letting tourists in at the beginning of the each hour of the day.

There is also a museum of mosque including parts that were originally meant for the mosque.

The only mosque build over water and the third largest in the world.Unfortunately you can’t visit the glass floor on the tour. Tickets can be bought on the museum entrance I visited on a Saturday in January @3pm and there was a very little line. This place was the highlight of my Casablanca visit.
Very easy to walk from casa port (train from airport)!

Beautiful mosque masha Allah. Easy to get to. The architect of the inside is out of this world. It’s clean. We went for Juma salaat. The prayer was so beautiful. It’s a must go see place with the sea next to it. So serine and peaceful

A really cool place, a must visit location in Casablanca. It costs about 130 Moroccan Dirham about 14USD. This is a rather modern construction but the architects and the workers have done just phenomenal craft work here. The English speaking guides were not great so you might want to catch up through other travel blogs for history. Since this mosque is also used for prayers watch out what time the prayers are since visitors and worshippers are not allowed together. Definitely hugely recommended.

Yet another astoundingly beautiful mosque. Such amazing architecture, such intricate details. Only if the place was allowed to be open all day. The security kept chasing out visitors at 5pm on a Saturday. Love the walk by the corniche outside as well. A beautiful spot to spend some hours of your day or night when you visit Casablanca

It is the largest mosque in Africa and has the tallest minaret in the world, which can accommodate 100,000 people praying at the same time. It is the only mosque in Morocco that can be visited by foreigners.Beautiful architecture, worth a visit.

Tour guides are only in French, but English-speaking guides are occasionally available.

If you want to see buildings on the sea, you have to look from the outside. There is a fence near the seaside and you can't get in.

Extremely beautiful, definitely a must-see in Casablanca! I recommend arriving as early as you can enter to the inside only from 9:00-13:00 as later on it’s a prayer time and it’s reserved for Muslims

Amazing panorama, great structure and fabulous image. In prayer time mosque and courtyard area is open. Everybody enter courtyard. Pray times before sunrise, noon timen, afternoon between evening, 30 minutes before sunset and 1.5hrs after sunset.
That time Muslims can be enter the mosque. Non-muslims can not visit to mosque's inside.
Out of prayer time mosque and courtyard close. You can take museum ticket and enter only mosque courtyard.

10 stars if they had more... a must-see if in Casablanca. The site is breathtakingly huge, a bit scary as you walk closer across the hot, flat, open stone gallery to the entrance. The ocean pounding, not 20m away. The tower is stunningly tall and hard, sharp.

Timing is everything for entry. Morning is best, before tourist buses arrive. Do NOT show up without tickets purchased at the museum. Otherwise, you'll be sent back (or swindled by a self-elected 'guide'). Open only to Muslims; visitors with purchased 130DRM pass, which includes a guide.

Our guide was terrible. Spoke English poorly, stale stupid jokes, no details. Almost rude. Our group was too large, 50 people, and it was hard to hear. Fortunately, he left us all early, and we wandered around.

But, more so, this month there is an exposition c/o Saudi government on Islam, located in adjacent small building. Great exposition, free entry (welcoming even), gratis tea upon arrival, welcome couch seating, displays of ancient Korans, photos, calligraphy (live person)...

Beut BEST is the VR hajj. Put on headset and off you go to hajj. 15min, just like you're really there. Odd looks from real people confirm it is a real 360-3D camera walking around the kaaba, with your eyes in it. You feel like you're sitting on some guys' shoulders as you walk down the tunnel. Watch the Saudi guards keeping folks in check, lines moving, helping overwhelmed folks, answering questions. The Mecca city skyline soars above.

Sadly, the narrative is only arabic, so a lot is missed. But it is fascinating to 'feel' what it's like in real-time, almost real-life. Job well done.

I was there during weekday. When i first see the mosque I’m amazed to see the unique architecture of the mosque. Its open to public and any muslim can visit to perform prayer. This is the 3rd biggest mosque in Africa region. Looking foward to visit again in future.

Increíble mosque. You can get a tour of the interior with a knowledgeable guide. Lots of opportunities to learn about the building and religion. You will be amazed by the architecture and craftsmanship.

This is a divine, stunning, magnificent, piece of art Mosque/ Masjid. Atlantic ocean waves are crashing on its base. It gives some kind of mystery and additional beauty to this masjid.
It's the only Masjid in Morocco where non-Muslim people are allowed to enter, but with guided tour only.
We took the tour even though we are Muslims, so we can learn about the Masjid.
The tour cost us 140 dirhams per person, which is about $14 (USD). It included a museum at well. There were 6 or 8 different language groups.
Hassan II Masjid is the largest functioning Mosque in Africa. It took 7 years to build it.
10,000 artists and craftsmen were recruited to carve the wood.
It has a retractsble/opening roof for the nights when it gets hot during prayers, so natural ventilation helps to cool, and worshipers can offer their namaz under stars.
This masjid on the ocean became a symbol of Casablanca. You can see it on the post cards, videos.
I will definitely go to see it again when next time in Casablanca.
Must see place
Highly recommended
