Hike and Chill Homestay

Our stay was very nice and we felt super welcomed by Jamal!
The hostel is cosy and even has a rooftop terrace with a view over the oasis, which was a highlight. Also the breakfast was delicious.
For us, it was the best hostel on our trip!

Hike and chill hostel is a must in Tinghir! It is a super cozy and clean hostel with an awesome view from the terrace. Jamal the manager will go out of his way to make sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and gives great recommendations for further travels!

We had an amazing stay only for 1 night unfortunately !
But the host Moulay was the sweetest, the place is decorated with a lot of taste and the other travellers were really nice as well.
Moulay cooked a really good breakfast for us and helped us with information for the rest of our trip
We’re looking forward to coming back!

We had an amazing time in Tinghir and it was because of Jamal. We felt extremely welcomed by him since the first second and he made us live several local experiences. The hostel is great: comfy bed, useful kitchen and a beautiful rooftop. Thank you for everything Jamal, we will be back!

I stayed for just two nights at Hike and Chill Hostel and I wished I stayed for longer because it is such a great hostel. Jamal is an amazing host with his caring nature and great sense of humour. He helped us with arranging a taxi to and from the gorges when we went climbing, cooked us dinner and breakfast, and even arranged to book a bus ticket for me as I left for Fes. The rooms are super clean with comfortable beds, warm blankets, well positioned power sockets, and privacy curtains. The hostel has a really cozy feel and also has cool murals all over the walls.

Overall I had an awesome time staying at Hike and Chill Hostel in Tinghir

Hostel is beautifully decorated, with a terrace with beautiful views of the town.

the hostel is located in the jews quarter , easy to access to the main sightseeing. the hostel is organizing day trips , nomads trips, climbing packages, don't hesitate to stay here .

We absolutely enjoyed our stay and if we would have had time, we would have extended it! The rooms are cozy and the terrace has such a great view with a lot of space to relax!
Not only did our host Jamal go on a climbing tour with us, he has also proven to be a great chef and provided us with heavenly breakfast and delicious home made dishes for dinner!

Best hostel I've stayed in. Definitely recommend.
Homestay is exactly the right word for the experience here. Jamal is the perfect host. Anticipating everything that I needed before I asked and always creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for all the guests with tea, food, candles, great views from the terrace, incredible decorations and artwork. Every detail has been considered and he has even more plans to improve the house!
I intended to stay 2 nights and extended to 8! That's how much I felt at home here.
Jamal provided great knowledge about the region, including helping me navigate a trek around Todgha gorge in the snow!
The location is perfect, nestled between the city centre and the palm grove, in the historic Jewish quarter.
Victor, a Brazilian guy who works with Jamal was very professional and considerate to the needs of everyone in the house. He showed me around the city and we visited many hidden shops of his friends together as well as the weekly market!
It is a high price compared to the hostels but for what Jamal provides it is amazing value.
I'll certainly be coming back to Tinerhir to stay here again. Thank you Jamal and Victor!

We spend one night here and really loved the kind, friendly and also fun atmosphere. I can really advise staying here for a cozy and interesting stay.

One of the most impressive Hostels I have ever been to. This is definitely Jamals (the host and owner) life work. He put love to every detail. The walls are full of artwork, chill areas are cozy, food is delicious and the view from the rooftop is incredible.

Interior is full of art and interesting decor and design, rooftop has a great view and is an amazing place to hangout, friendly cat to play with, dinner was prepared both nights, has a breakfast that's really good and not the typical hostel breakfast, and the owner is a cool guy who brought me to a couple local places to eat which I never would have found on my own. I had planned to only stay a night, but happily stayed an additional night, it's really nice here. Highly recommend.

Jamal is a wonderful host. Genuinely hospitable, he took me around town, showed me the historic mosque and local food. His location is perfect and the rooftop has amazing views. His place is lovingly
decorated and kept sparkling clean. The breakfast was also delicious. Warning if you stay here you might find it hard to leave!

In 2019 I visited Hike and Chill Hostel and I have to say it will remain one of the greatest memories I had in my visit to Morocco. The staff is beautiful, the hostel is cozy and made with lots of love. The terrace view is great, a nice place to relax. Rooms are shared and a great way to meet new people. If you are passing by Tinerhir I highly recommend this place! The staff will help you with anything you need!

If I visit Morocco again, then this hostel will have a visit from me 100% sure!

So far our best stay in Morocco, the hostel himself is very nice and clean. We liked the mixture of hippie vibes of the hostel with welcoming moroccan attitude, which resulted in really comfortable stay.

We really loved the community of Tinerhir and its welcoming people. I consider Tinerhir the best city of the southern Morocco.

Amazing hostel! Jamal, took really much care of you and runs the hostel with so much love. Especially I found awesome that Jamal is trying to give a really authentic insights into Moroccan life. For example, we went to a local hammam or cooked together!
